    If you want to see the newest posts on a thread first, just click the latest activity button after reopening the thread...

    another more permanent option is go to your user profile>>>edit settings>>>account, and scroll down to the ""display mode"". select latest activity then click save on the bottom of the page.

    see pictures below::::

    just below that on your account page is ""posts per page""... adjust this to allow how many posts you want to see on a thread before having to go onto the next page..

    all these things can be undone

    if you see a post you like there is a "like it button" on the bottom,, by clicking it the poster gets notified that you LIKED it

      Play around with the editor tool bar buttons. It is accessed by clicking the large A next to the smiley face when posting. One useful function is the icon mountain pictured below. Use this to load pictures from a hosting site such as photo bucket or like place..

        Another thing to ck out..use this upload attachment button and it gives you a choice of a full size pic instead of a thumbnail...click full size to get a nice result.

        the camera icon above only offers thumbnails...
        these screen shots were put on using full size

          Pic uploading tip::

          FYI when posting thumbnails to the site only 15 will show at the bottom of your post, but you have the ability to upload 35 at a time. The rest of the pics will show once you open up the slide show....

          An example of this are the fine point photos of Val & Mark Maron's roadster that are in the process of being uploaded

            Reference message #5: how do you bring up "Insert: Thumbnail small medium large...." etc., etc. I can't figure it out!?! I hit (right and/or left click) the camera icon, upload, upload attachment, etc. - no go. I try and upload a pic from my computer and it is always the same thing: file to big.

              Over on the right on the left side of the A is the button to use for that.

          • #9
            Bob if the file size is to big it will need to be resized to 2050. Most all computer operating systems have a pic resize utility

            To upload pics you can use the camera icon, or the the upload attachment icon next to the A as Wiz mentioned or click the A to open up the enhanced editor and then click the mountain / image icon and select UPLOAD from there. Feel free to PM me if needed and i will be glad to help you out personally.

                Utube video posting:

                When posting U-tube videos to the site it's best to use the "Enhanced Editor" then click the movie link next to the mountain image icon. Copy the share link of the video and paste it into the box.
                This puts the video directly to the post instead of a clickable link..

                Try it out in the test area

                  Writing a Private Message (PM)

                  There are many ways to send a pm so i will list a few here, and the rest you may stumble across yourself surfing the site.

                  Top right next to your log in name is a message drop down box. Click send message or go actually into your message center. In the message center is a blue box compose new message.
                  Another way is to locate the persons name in the members list and click private message from there.
                  Next to every users name in a post is a tiny little cloud. Click that and you can compose a pm / chat from there or just click their name and use the private message link....
                  Go up top to the community drop down menu and click chat. This will open up a pm chat window. From this you can send a message or if the person is available on the other end, you can chat instantly back and forth..
                  Remember your message center is the place to store or delete these messages ( the main hub)...

                  Read Post #12 Above!!

                  I hope this Helps

                        FYI::
                        Comments do not count or add to a members overall post count. Each picture you upload does add to your count.

                        If you post a for sale item with 10 pictures your post count will go up by 11.. Dumb but that is the way it's designed to work

                              New Quote Feature

                              I just added a new feature for making it easy to quote all or a portion of a post or comment. (or both at once) Highlight the words you want to quote by holding down the left mouse button. (This is the same as if you were copying something) Release the mouse button and a red quote box should appear. Click the quote box and this will place your quote in the write your message area. Then write your reply as you would normally do below that. This is only working right now on desktop

                              Remember to write your reply below the quote or you will get an error message

                              You can do multiple quotes at once
