    Anyone into garden railroading?

I have some plans for tressels, buildings, etc. I'd like to give away. Drop me a PM.

That sounds like a fun project. I can't see myself trying this, as, our winters wreak havoc on everything. Frost misaligning the tracks ect... Hopefully you have some takers. Jeff

I'm in the same boat as you although not as bad. It's why I gave up on garden railroading. The first winter with my setup was a disaster. It all came apart.

I don't know. Just know it as garden scale. Google says it is "G" scale.

I asked because there are many clubs around the states now that have both indoor and outdoor RC tank battles and the tanks are about the same scale. These members are always looking for buildings to add. Do a search for the club, RC tank clubs should get you to a few places and members.
I only drive full size tanks in tank battles...........Kursk was hell!!!! ;)

I'd sure like to have live steam. If I won the lottery I'd buy 10 acres and have a 1/4 scale live steam and lots of track.

I'd love to have the room to make my own 7½" scale like that. Sadly the closest I can come is LA Live Steam or Costa Mesa Live Steam.

            Thanks for sharing.
You wana look waaay far up da road and plan yer route because the brakes are far more of a suggestion than a command!

What a blast! I was surprised to see the girl crawl out of the box car.
Can you imagine all the hours that had to go into building just the engine and tender, let alone all those cars, then laying track.

Next to Model As I love the old trains...the two go together like Abbot and Costello. Throw in the music, the sports, the fashion, the movie starlets of the 30s and you're in heaven...IMO!!!! How do I know...I was there and the world today....sucks!!!!

Ed the golden spike was driven I believe on Promontory point in Utah. The golden spike tower is just the name for the 100' visitor tower that looks out over this vast rr yard. It has a east bound and west bound hump it is a up mainline and has a three track mainline. At peak roughly 150 trains a day go thru this sorting and classification yard. It is really cool to watch them sort a train, not much different than packages but still neat to see.

The big difference is, they don't loose the cars, nor constantly destroy the contents.
