I showed it to my wife. She got angry asked 'just how would you feel if you didn't see me for a couple days?' I said fine with me. I figure by Friday I should have the swelling down enough to see out of my right eye. the left will take a little longer...

Heh, easy for you to say Tom, all you need do is build another fully insulated shed to live in. My problem is, the garage would need a full blown upgrade to hold enough heat in to live in. I have been cold, and do not do well in it. I refuse to be permanently banished to the garage over a book, at any price!

My wife is pretty much already trained for most of these tasks, but were still working on #6.

A friend of mine found his wife stacking her clothes out of her closet and asked why she was doing that. She said she was giving them to charity because there are poor starving people needing them. He replied if they could wear her clothes they weren't starving. I am going to visit him in the hospital on Christmas day.

              by Swastler
hope we still like playing, been a rough couple weeks for me. Finished my 10th brain radiation treatment as of yesterday and am feeling way less than ideal. Starting to lose my hair, but beard should stay put, my wife has always liked bald guys!

Started phase 2 systemic chemo of spine today and hoping it gives me a much needed boost. This is going to be 6 cycles every two weeks. Sitting...

              Enjoying my new hobby
              by Bill G
Greetings: I have only posted one or two times here, but I have been lurking for some time. I find that there is a wealth of information here and Lord knows, I have a lot to learn in the process of working on "Minnie" (Named after my wife's late aunt Minnie). I have enjoyed the help and encouragement of the local club. Already I have put in a new clutch and a rebuilt engine and new brakes...

Took Sister in for a spring spa service today.....
              by Nabco
So I’ve said this before when my father-in-law gave me Sister a few years ago my mechanical ability with cars was adding washer fluid. Now I have learned a little, actually put a new carburetor on her a couple years ago, fiddled with the headlight switch and got them working again (still have no idea what I did to fix it) and a few other minor things.

I will freely admit that normal...

Looking for my first Model A
              by dmdeaton
Hi all, like it says. I have the bug and the wife is on board. She probably has it worse than me now that she has been window shopping on the web. Joining the local club and trying to suck up as much info as I can. I like to build wooden boats, and work on firearms in what little spare time I have. I am a control electrician in real life and can hold my own as a hack machinist. I am pretty pumped...

Free copies of RG&JS and Hardware book
              by Swastler
I need to start pairing down on some model A stuff.

i have a very unused 2011 revision copy of the much needed and often referenced Restoration guidelines and Judging standards along with same condition Standard Hardware book that I want to go to someone who has yet to purchase the Rg&Js.

This will be a guessing game, closest number to my number wins. Books will be sent...

              RG & JS Manual
              by Mitch
              Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards

It seems many folks have a misconception of what this amazing reference is all about. The book is a valuable resource like the Les Andrews, Service Bulletins, and others. This is not just for restoring or working on a points car, it is a regular shop manual as well. More work went into this book over the years than any other reference available....
