I also have a big problem with writing dates here in the US. US is Dec 14 2017, in Europe and in the military it's 14 Dec 2014. I really have to stop and think when I have to write or read a date in especially when a date is written 5/6/17 etc etc

Without being told it's a 24 hour clock the 10:52 and 12:47 would need the am/pm. The 18:47 would seem to be obvious. Probably a computer programming thing.

The differences between the civilian and military date system
Just as you will be learning a new way of telling time, the military has their own way of annotating dates. This standardization ensures that all dates are understood correctly no matter who may be reading or writing them.
You may be used to using dates in the following format: Nov 28 2005
The military dating system uses the following format: 28 Nov 05

With months that you may normally spell out completely such as the month of July which is used in the following civilian example: July 28 2005
The military limits the number of letters used to abbreviate the month to 3 (three) as seen in the following military date example: 28 JUL 05

Well I'am still there :-( I'am a jack of all trades, started as an A/C mechanic, was reduced to facilities mechanic, cleaned aircraft for awhile, just to keep a job from layoffs, ready to retire waiting for retirees medical

              Speedster Reunion
              by Jim Brierley

I highjacked this from another site, because I view this event as the best-ever event for car-guys. I've attended many, and plan on going to this one.

The Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed is planning to host the 2021 International Speedsters Trials & Reunion in Lincoln, NE. Dates are June 23-26. Some details on the 2021 Reunion are below; you can also check the Museum’s...

              USPS tracking.
              by Dennis
Has anybody else had this problem? I bought an item on ebay Wednesday last week, that's a week ago. I live about an hour north of San Diego which is where the item was bought from. I've been watching the tracking shaking my head at how those idiots operate. It jumps around to a couple locations in San Diego county and then goes to Anaheim about 30 minutes north of me. Then all of a sudden it...

              by BAAP
As we continue to battle with Covid-19 and staff shortages Bratton's has to implement new operating hours. These new hours will start on Friday 4/17/20 and they will be:

These reduced hours are to allow our current staff of 2 who have been working 10-12 hour days some time to rest and recoup. We...
