by BrubakerAny favorites in terms of powder coaters in the North Bay (Ca.)? Willing to go south to South S.F., east to Oakland(ish) and north to Sacramento. Not getting a good feeling about my local vendor.

by Tacoma BobSo A number of powder Coating Companies are no longer foolin with Model "A" wire wheels and car parts in general. Les Schwab still offers Powder Coating with a 6 week turn around. One of our new members is looking for quality powder. He has found a local source for $125.00 per wheel and he needs to supply the powder. SO! Can you guys recommend a brand name product, Tacoma Cream and how much...

The wheel on the left was sitting out side hanging on the wall behind my garage. It gets a little rain, and a little bit of sun, mostly in the morning. I was doing some cleanup and when I walked by it, I was shocked at the teal color. I have six wheels and I believe they were double powder coated at a workshop. I had the flu so I wasn’t there. It just surprised me that this one, that’s been...

by SoapyMy go to guy for powder coating wheels has quit doing powder, so I have been soliciting quotes from local places who do it. The first price came in this morning and it was a real shock at $160.00 per wheel, with $100.00 off a set of 5 if I provide the powder. Does anyone know of a good source in the Detroit area? I may have to blast them at home and use conventional paint.

by plyforFor those who are considering powder coat, check out the Tiger Drylac website before using your applicator . Colors are listed as well as a good description of the primers for cast alum / steel or non - porous materials. Sherman Williams also has some comparison tables for the trade for the various primers offered.. Some vendors don't or won't use primers, especially for wire wheels.

by DustDevilI'm going for powder coating my 19" wheels/rims A Ford Vermillion Red to compliment the Ford Maroon Briggs '30 Town Sedan body.
Can anyone help me get the most accurate Ford Vermillion RAL code and/or company for powder coat? I'm a typical male red-green color blind guy (this is common); so you say, "if you're color-blind, why do you care?", I just want it to be right....-

by CurlyI dropped off my freshly powder coated wheels and radial 19’s and balancing beads and rim liners to my trusted tire guy just now. He just called me back and said the rim liners are not necessary where the inside of the rims are so nice. He said they may even cause problems.
Is there a problem with not using them?...-
