You need to stop by sometime. I listen to 20s/30s jazz and blues on this 1933 Silvertone. I have it wired from a cd player and the sound is spectacular . I also listen to the 1934 fight between Max Barr and James J Braddock, the 1934 World Series between the Tigers and the Cardinals. I live in the 1920s/30s.................

I can remember back on this reincarnation (4th) to 1950. I was two and I remember listening to the Lone Ranger, the Shadow and Death Valley Days on my grandfather's radio.

Lots of old time radio podcasts can be found on the web. Many are available through iTunes Store for free and you can download or stream. Most are segregated by genre (detectives, mystery, westerns, comedy, variety etc.).

so much more enjoyable than today’s TV!

Every Tuesday night after supper my parents would listen to "Yours Truely, Johnny Dollar." We seven children had to clean off the table, do the dishes, haul out the garbage and hold the youngest child while they relaxed for the 15 minutes that the show lasted.

Been there, done that, great memory to have. Wish I go back and do that again, I wouldn't have a complaint anywhere in my mind.

Chiefs' Fathers' FIRST Radio only had earphones & he'd sit in the window sill & narrate the Fight between Jack Dempsey & "somebody"??? to the crowd, out keepin' COOL on the porch!
Chiefs' real first name was DEMPSEY aka POSSUM, but that's another story???
When I said "sorry" to Chief, about something??? He'd say, "I'm SORRY, too, but, I've lurned to LIVE with IT"!!!---LOL
