When I ordered the short pitman arm from Bert's, I asked Steve for a new catalog.
There is a whole section in the back full of exploded views. This will sure come in handy.
I like to get parts catalogs from A&L, Bert's Bratton's, and Snyder's. Sometimes one seller will have something another may not have.-

by dmdeatonI was working in Dayton this morning and on the way back to Cincinnati I decided to look up some parts shops in the area. Since I was driving through and had a few minutes I would stop and check them out. Gaslight is in Urbana, too far north. Ahooga is right on the way home. I stopped in what is a factory and I couldn't believe what I saw. Punch presses actually making parts for A's and T's here in...

by slamminI received Brattons new catalog today. I'm sure many of you have yours already, because snail mail is even snailier to western Colorado. Since I haven't see any comments, I must assume most haven't looked the catalog over. The first page has an announcement that Walt is retiring! Those of you that have been inflicted with the Model A disease longer than I know what an asset Walt has been to the hobby....

by ClaudeCI tried to get a replacement for a broken craftsman ratchet, Loews won't replace..They sell only boxed sets. anyway maybe that is a sign of things to come. What is a good brand of tool? Snap on is just too expensive.

by Tom BellfoyMy 1931truck with original 19 inch wheels currently has a 3:78 rear end and I'm considering installing a new 3:54 high speed gear set. Who supplies a good quality U.S. made set of gears ? Brattons ?
and if you have this 3:54 set in your Model A, are you happy with the conversion ? My motor has recently been rebuilt by a Canadian quality builder and has a 5.5 high compression head.
thank...-

I know most of us have one or more Craftsman ratchets, and what do you do when they don't work? Now that Sears has closed so many stores, we can't run down to exchange them. This afternoon I was fixing my neighbor's Toro fuel pump, and the 1/4" ratchet he handed me didn't work, so I removed the snap ring, wire brushed the rust off and dipped it in ATF, then smeared grease on the ratchet wheel...
