When is 109 less than 99?

  • #2
Oh, simple, when you add the numbers together!

    1+0+9=10
    9+9=18
You wana look waaay far up da road and plan yer route because the brakes are far more of a suggestion than a command!

No, take the digits as a whole, and not added together.

Well then, this gets a bit trickier, but I think it is when it is listed in your files on the confuzer.

No, but I do wish the computer would recognize and post the numbers in order, rather than by the first digit.
I heard this mentioned a few years ago, and it came to me the other day while preparing the salad I posted about on the other thread.

I don't know what kinda confuzer you got, but if you want listings by post, try listing by date instead of file name.

At first I thought there was a microwave involved in the solution: you know, when you type 100 onto the pad it sees one minute and comes up 60 seconds. So, I went to my microwave and pressed in 109 and it came up 109 seconds, not 69 seconds like I thought it would. Bottom line: I don't have an answer.

              Well, you win again.
When I push 109 on my microwave it is one minute and 9 seconds, but 99 is 99 seconds, so it is 30 seconds more than 109.
When I microwaved 2 eggs the other day, they were extra large, so I thought I was adding 10 seconds extra, but found out it was 30 less.

Thread titles can be confusing and some times leading. I was expecting "Which came first the chicken or the egg".

The chicken had to come first.
If the egg came first, who would lay on it to hatch it?
