  • The most over used/abused word on eBay

Currently there is a listing on the bay, "Ford Model A Zenith Rebuilt Carburetor RARE*" Maybe I'm being picky (been know to happen), but how rare can an item be if Henry installed them on over 5 million Model As? I always have to chuckle when I see an eBay item listed as rare and there are dozens listed by other sellers.

New "A" owner with carb problem
      by mysarah
This is my first post. My wife and I are the proud owners of a beautiful '31 A Deluxe. We have named her Sarah - an acronym for the women in my life: Susan (wife), April and Robin (our daughters) and Ainsley and Hannah (our two granddaughters.) Sarah rides and runs great and we plan to drive her almost daily as weather permits.
I now have a problem with the carb. When I turned off the engine...

      Engine Numbers
      by Mitch
      ENGINE SERIAL NUMBERS
The engine number was also the serial number of the car. Engines were numbered when they were completed, and for the most part went into a chassis within a day or so. However, some engines were assembled and numbered at branch assembly plants. Highland Park would ship a block of engine-number records to an assembly plant and these engines might be made weeks or months...

Which coil would you use out of these three?
      by old31
With a 6.0 head and with points I am not sure which of these coils is the best. I do not understand the results.

Which RPM reading do you think is the closest to the truth?
      by old31
My roadster has a 3.78 rear end, 6.0 head and a F150 4 speed trans.

I have taken the RPMS with my Westech tach, a dwell meter and a digital timing light, and i am not sure about accuracy.

What did you do on your Model T-TT today ?
      by pAAt
Learned about testing coils, spark advance, mag or battery key switch operation, wiring, some shifting stuff (still leery), and misc. T stuff. Nice "lot" of learning experience today, just about enough to make me very dangerous !!
