Try dimming your dash lights and those electric devices when your are having troubles seeing the road. On a trip riding with my older brother he was having troubles seeing because of rain and unfamiliar road. I asked him can you turn down his dash lights, he said he didn't know and then he found how too. It amazed him how mich better he could see, it amazed me he didn't know that!

When I was younger, driving was almost always at night on long trips but I avoid it now whenever possible. Just too hard on the eyes.

I tried the nighttime driving glasses last year but found them ineffective: didn't pay big bucks for them and that may have been responsible for their ineffectiveness.Comment

I have mentioned in the past that I will be picking up my 1930 Model A Coupe up in Louisana the first week of May. I will meet my brother who will be coming from Texas with my car. My mechanic has been working on it since October 2017, on and off. He is a retired mechanic that owned his own shop and had worked on many Model A's. FLOP use to post pictures of his Model A rust repairs and metal shaping, and he did excellent work. I wish he would start posting on this site, as I really enjoyed watching his repairs.

About 60 members from our club just got back from 6-7 days in Yellowstone and Glacier Natl Park. Most trailered, one guy drove it. Some very steep passes there, especially in Glacier, the Going to the Sun road. The road is mostly 6% grade with some sections at 10%, and it is a brutal but majestic drive. No guard rails.
