That was good. It's amazing how real they can sound, and look when they're up in the air. The local RC club puts on a few free air shows each summer, and I attended one two years ago. They do a fantastic job and even stage dog fights. One guy lost control right after take off, and did a power dive into the dirt. He said that just cost him $1,700.

I fly a small RC plane and so far have not executed a “straight in approach” like the airliner pilot did... knocking on forehead. I have, however, used a tree to catch it when the radio receiver would only allow it to do left turns and throttle.
An old friend of mine has a large scale F14 with a pair of turbines. The last I knew he was north of 20k in his setup...
by comparison - mine was $300
tried to upload attachments (pictures) but it wants me to enter a valid URL... Not trying to upload from a URL so maybe my iPad is bonkers....Regards - Randy

Sure wish I could watch the videos, but Hughes Net won't let me ( they try but it takes forever ). I think they're prejudice on deep valley people and we are deep ! Best we can get here though, so I think I'll still stay here, unless invited to Arizona for the winter ;) For cookies ?Model A's and of course the famous AA's

Ah the price we pay to live in paradise... I love the area you’re in but we still needed to commute to Minneapolis for work when we bought in Kenyon - which is also quite a nice area (6 months out of the year). There are a couple of internet providers there other than Hughes. Mediacom and Frontiernet. They are both expanding so you may want to make a couple of inquiries - if for no other reason than to tell them you’re a potential customer.

I should do that Mitch, but I'd rather buy a Model AA part with that cash. There's plenty of patience, out here on the farm, and the years are rolling by pretty fast these days. Hope your having a great day in Philly and the weekend to boot !!

by MitchThis is a contest that the MO club does to see how long it takes to start a Model A up from moth balls. This years start up took place right out in front of the host hotel. I will be posting a series of short videos and pics.
The star of the show is our own Larry Shepard.. Larrys40 on the VFF
Larry and crew did a great job waking this car up from 50 years of sleep

by MitchWe took a ride to Lancaster, Pa today. Gotta love the hay bailers and other farm equipment being pulled by 4 horses.
