  • Modern car bad cat trick

If your modern keeps setting a CAT code because the converter is bad here is a way to trick the computer and get through emissions.

Remove the cat monitor sensor, screw this in and then screw the sensor back into the adapter.

By not having the O2 monitor directly in the exhaust stream it will cause the wave form to slow down like it should act with a good converter..

        I just don't understand.
        by Mike V. Florida
Between most of the forums and almost all the Model A pages on Facebook, I read how a person's Model A will not do this and that and can't do the other thing. It's poor at ... Then you read about all the "upgrades" they have but on the car. Their car has bad shocks so they find the cheapest tube shock kit and complain about the hard ride. Modern points and complain about setting the points....

        Cam screw issues
        by 31modelaguy
hey y’all new here with a question. I have a 31 Model A and I’m trying to adjust the timing. My issue is I can’t get the cam screw to come loose. Any suggestions? I’ve tried wd 40 and different lubricants but can’t seem to break it loose. Am I missing something or could the screw just be seized in there? Thanks for any help.

        Distributor upper plate and timing
        by pAAt
The upper plate wire connector should not come in contact with the metal base right ? Number 1 piston is TDC on the compression stroke, rotor looks close. Rotor air gap is .050 and I'll be messing around with the points tomorrow. Engine oil good enough for lubing the distributer ? Tom there was no felt washer on the condenser screw, but the screw was short and didn't bottom out. Do I need to put...

there seems to be a recent trend to be critical of the ways other people do things.

        Horn Sound
        by Cape Codder
Is there anything that can be done to a horn other then the adjusting screw? Horn does not sound like most even using the adjusting screw from one extreme to the other.
