  • Who Wants a Trailer or an Antique Car?

I was at USA Trailer Sales last week to pick up an ebay item I won, and was surprised to see such a large selection of new trailers at very reasonable prices. I also discovered he has two buildings full of antique cars for sale, and they are priced to sell. A nice 5 x 8 open trailer with loading gate, lights, fenders, and jack, all ready to go for $699, and this has the large tires, not the 8" wheelbarrow tires. He also has every part and accessory you might need for trailers and hitches.

Many of the cars are open models, and all the cars looked to be restored or in excellent condition. Here's a small sample of the cars. He also has a Model T coil tester for $100, which I would have bought if I didn't already have one. If you are in the southeast part of Michigan, it's definitely worth a visit to check out the cars. The pictures are dark because my camera battery was low, but this will give you some idea of the nice cars he has for sale. He also has a large collection of signs for sale.

USA Trailers is Michigan's leading trailer dealer, with thousands of cargo trailers, utility trailers, dump trailers and flatbed trailers for sale. Shop high quality trailers for sale in Michigan today!

My neighbor wants it, but knowing him he won't act on it and will let it slip away. I can't figure out some of his car deals!

If I wasn't going through three paternity suits at the moment, I'd scarf that up in a second........and that no well, half of it is.

          Trailer recommendations
          by Big guy
Guys, If I had a trailer I would be joining yawl in Branson. This brings to mind a question about trailering for long hauls. I have a 29 Tudor and wonder what minimum size enclosed trailer I should be looking for. I know most are going to say to buy the largest I can afford. Do I really need two axles? Have a great time in Mo....

          Open vs closed trailer
          by Tom Rode
I am starting to look at trailers for the Roadster, I have my eye on a 6X14 open trailer at Tractor Supply, dual axle, electric brakes, 5,000 lbs load capacity. Will need to reinforce the tailgate a little, rated to 1,000 lbs and since car weighs about 2,050 lbs I figure it is likely just over 1,000 on at least one axle. But I wonder about pulling car in open trailer. I brought it home that way, on...

I have a model T rear axle that was used on a trailer many years ago. I was thinking I would make a trailer of some kind I could pull behind my T. What do you think....

          Single Wheel Trailer
          by Jordan
I have no idea if this is the appropriate place to post this or not- but there is a lot of knowledge here.

My brother and I inherited 2 single wheel allstate trailers to tow behind our Model A's. One was restored and has a wood body mounted, the other is an original metal bodied trailer. It has been taken apart to be restored, but hasn't been painted yet. I am considering selling the...

          Open trailer towing long distances
          by Corley
When I bought Elvira, my 28 Tudor, I towed her about 700 miles on an open trailer. I noticed that the top material would balloon up a little bit at higher road speeds. Never towed her over about 65 max, but I noticed this occasional ballooning started as low as 50 mph at times. Maybe it was an optical illusion, after all things look closer in the mirror, right? Now I've rarely noticed any ballooning...

          Interesting trailer hitch
          by Keith True
On the Vermont Craigslist there is a pickup with an interesting hitch.I saw pictures of these years ago, they were for surfboards. This one looks to be extended a little more than the pictures I saw.I remember the hitch was actually under the vehicle, and a long pole ran up to it.They weren't something you were going to hitch a regular trailer to.I think a surfboard was all I would want to hook to it...
