It's time to once again remember. I remember my school buddies that didn't return home to marry their high school sweetheart and there were many for my little county, I remember my buddies lost and came home not able to live a full life as I was allowed to do. It's not my holiday, it's theirs and it's the holiday I remember them.

"Memorial Day is not the beginning of summer. It's not a day to have barbecues and drink as much as you want," said Marissa Brown. "You're there to memorialize all the fallen soldiers who have protected our borders, our freedom, so we can have barbecues and enjoy life and live freely."

by canadianHow much life was expected from a Model A, I was wondering to myself , did them people think that 90 years later there purchase was still going to be around , Personally I find it amazing . rough times back then , money to maintain there car must have been hard to come by. I have a 29 and found some coins in front door bottom from 1932.. just wondering a few coins probably made a difference, 90 years...

by 2manycarsOur town had it's Memorial Day parade today. Here are a few photos. The WW2 Vet sitting next to me was celebrating his birthday. He is 95 today. Most of our WW2 vets are dead, so the wagon is not very crowded. I was the youngest guy there. There was a guy from the Korean war, and me from the Vietnam. My daughter took the photos. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Our club meets from 7 to 9 in the cafeteria of the local high school. We don't meet during the summer months when school is out, so we hold 9 meetings. For this we pay the school $1040, but next year they will charge us $2700. This is way out of line IMHO.
I've always thought the club should buy their own meeting place, but have never looked into the cost of that.-
