      Two points here-
First, extraction of fuel ethanol by forced phase separation will also remove the PEA's (polyether amines). Huh?- Those additive amine compounds are the mandated 'detergent' part of the fuel. Without them you will get gummy tank, fuel line, and carb deposits. Inside the engine there will be nothing to prevent horrible polymer bonded carbon deposits under your intake valve stems and, in relative cold running engines like the A, nasty carbon deposits on plug shells and combustion chambers. You end up bringing back fuel problems that existed through the early 80's but were cured by fuel 'detergent' additives. If you like gummy fuel then this is the way to get it.

Second, anyone who puts several gallons of gasoline in a GLASS five gallon bottle, picks it up and shakes it bare handed over a concrete floor (oops-I dropped it...) in an attached garage is AN IDIOT.
