  • Lots of talk against gasoline powered cars lately

This from Hagerty. What the near future will bring, I dunno but worth thinking about. We shall see. Usually things don't quite work out that badly!

Pure political...it always is. People should be more concerned about nuclear/hydrogen power and the present moment and what irresponsible idiot has it. Sure electric cars along the way down the road but certain things will always exist for different reasons, nostalgia for one until gas is non-existent......but then there is always moonshine to replace gasoline.:D

You're right. I think the electric car thing is pie in the sky I don't see it working. The Law of Unintended Consequences for starters. They are already saying that disposing of the batteries and such will create a huge pollution problem.

I use to peddle batteries and people are making a bomb now off old batteries by harvesting the left over lead, stripping and then putting the case through a shredder and reselling the rubber/hard plastic. Any batteries today that go in a dump are from the owners who don't want the hassle.

All pure environmental Bullshit!!!! IMO! Scare tactics is all it is...........People who want power use it, people that know no better believe them.

Thanks Mitch, I know you were thinking of me...............:thumbsup

        Krylon overhaul rant
        by CM2
Its amazing to me how many people do krylon overhauls on engines.Who get into an engine repair, post pictures and ask questions, then when faced with a response to their question they dont like choose to ignore the advice. They pull the oil pan and head, rant and rave about the sludge they found, ask why their valves sit low in the seats and post pictures of cylinder walls that look like fun house mirrors,then...

        Batteries
        by Corley
I've noticed that on some tractor sites people have started using garden tractor batteries on smaller tractors, like 8Ns and such. The thought is that with as much as 340 cca available in these smaller batteries, and their cheaper prices, (about 1/3 that of a typical 12v battery), they are ok for something that is used very little, sits around a lot, and doesn't probably last for too long anyway....

We have not had a good informative MMO thread yet on the VFF. Discussing all the positives, any negatives or even the smell may help others.

One benefit is MMO helps lubricate the valve guides / stems when its mixed with the fuel. Personally ( many use it) i am not a proponent of adding it to the oil, i don't like thinning out the viscosity. If i ever did need to try and free up a stuck...
