Up to 40 inches before it's done :-(
From what I've been following, Houston is really getting hit hard.

I have never seen flooding like what is going on in Texas, Houston flooding is unprecedented and not even half the 50 inches predicted has fallen yet. I wasn't here in 93 during the floods so I can't compare but the amount of lives displaced is unbelievable for me in Texas. Hard to not think about those people...............

I just can not imagine, all that rain. I suppose if someone were to build a new house today it would beehoove you to figure the worst that could happen to you and plan that way.

We've been watching it on Fox News and The Weather Channel. Wow.

Our cousin Brad was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, the rest of his cousins weren't so lucky, we all worked our arses off and paid for everything ourselves. If his house is under water, I'm sure he moved out before hand and is now monitoring the situation in one of his other two homes he vacations in. No one keeps in touch with him much at all.

BTW, he was infantry during the Vietnam era in Alaska, he was fine being an 11B infantryman until he was levied to go to Nam, all of a sudden he had flat feet and was re-assigned. The rest of us (5) weren't so lucky.

My cousin wanted to inlist but was declined because of a broken leg as a kid they couldn't tell which leg because of my country doctor was very good. Doc had a bad leg and he said his patient would not be like him.
A tree rolled on 5 of us kids playing in a creek bed pinning all but me, I ran back to get help, my dad, uncle, and grandpa got everyone out, only one hurt with compound leg break

                    Rumble seat opening width?
                    by Grit Kid
Could someone who has a rumble measure the width of the opening. There is a antique folding table on Ebay. I need to know if it would slide into the floor. It's 36in and that might be too wide.

From rain gutter to rain gutter...………..

                    Thanks

Touring with the model A in the rain and waterproofing.
                    by BNCHIEF
On a recent tour I was on it rained and sometimes very hard, knew about model t fords and issues in the rain but this A was my first. Some fellows experienced water in their distributors and I assume it got in there from driving down the road and water entering the distributor thru the cap locator pin I cannot imagine it coming in on the backside where the advance lever is. The front area would...

Why the "race track" stitching holes??.
                    by Licensed to kill
I don't know what to call them exactly (obviously) but the race track shaped (kind of oval) holes in the body panels for attaching the fabric roof and rain gutters. What was the reason for them not just being round holes and does it really matter. The reason I am asking is that I have to replace almost all of the channel that the rain gutters mount in and have been going over different ways to replicate...
