Too bad I remember the picture of your new truck that fell off the lift, this shows one that fell off of the lift and the body was ripped from the chassis and the service guy says good news sir we won't charge you for the oil change.

Actually guys, if you look at that picture, I doubt it was in for an oil change, the sign in front of the lift says "Paint Prep".You wana look waaay far up da road and plan yer route because the brakes are far more of a suggestion than a command!

by MickeyStarting to get into my new coupe and while I knew there was some rust things get more difficult when you actually see it. Both rear corners are going to need some serious work. My problem is how to handle it. Cost is of course an issue, as always, but so is space, equipment, ability and knowhow. I'm a one man "shop" with a two car garage. But I think I can make that work. The biggest issue...

by MitchLifting the A on a two post lift properly can take about 15-20 minutes to set up. The vehicle needs to be perfectly positioned (centered) so both sides of the lifting pads reach properly. This will vary with lift design and arm extension of your particular brand hoist. The use of one foot adapters to gain the needed clearance between the running boards and the lift arms is necessary. My running boards were underwater (brackish) during the flood. Should I remove the covering and treat the metal or will it be ok? I see no signs of lifting of the fabric.

by BeaufordSo took "Rusty" out for a high speed drive to see how he's feeling! That was about 4 hours ago. I went out and checked under the chassis where I have not re-installed dust shield as I like to monitor for any leaks before I mount my body in a few weeks. There is a little oil coming off the rear main bolt/castle nut. No need to worry or is there something I can do? I know not a big deal but...

It was too cold to do much outside so I went over and helped a buddy work on his 31 fordoor which he saved last fall. He had got a lift since i was there last and it sure made things easier. The car had been put back together by a guy but things were not assembled properly so that is a lot of what we are working on. The steering was put together without gaskets and the front motor mount was not put...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by Standing ElkLet's see if I can remember enough of what I was told to ask this question. Apparently the EPA mandated the removal or maybe the addition of some component to motor oil?? I was told that the new formula now carries an additional code and that it should NOT be used in our motors. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks
