        by sunnyorm
Alright, here's a story from a few days ago in my town: i went to a garage sale, and the guy had a large assortment of tools, so i was paying for the tools i bought, and we get to chewing the fat, so i mention my Model A, so he says he recently lost a friend was 97 years old, and used to work on Model As, until his passing. So the guy i bought the tools from gives me an account of this 97 year old,...

Had a nice visit from Bill Lee today
        by tbirdtbird
It is always nice to put a face to a name, and Bill is most pleasant and knowledgeable. He was here for 3 hrs and we discussed mostly paint and body work. I was impressed with the baseline knowledge he had going into the discussions, and I was also impressed that he already knew of Ospho and has used it. We learned a lot from each other.

        Memorial day parade photo
        by 2manycars
Here is a photo of the guy who was on the vererans float with me. It was his birthday, and he was 95 years old that day. He told me that exactly 75 years ago, also on his birthday, he got his draft notice for WW2.
You might notice that he looks better than me.
The other photo is my daughter and her dog, and me.

        Model A of the day
        by 2manycars
This morning's model a of the day on MAFCA is my father and his roadster. He sold the town sedan he and I restored in 1960, and bought the roadster in 1967. It was in a barn at a pansy farm, where the owner had stashed several model A;s to sell in his retirement. It was completely original. He took 7 years restoring it, and enjoyed it up until his death in 1981. We never found the roadster after...
