What is the prefered "cut-off" month between the 1928-mid 1930 vs mid 1930-1931 Open and Closed Cab bodies?

Also the prefered "cut-off" month between the 1931 "soft-top" vs the 1931 "steel-top" Closed Cab body?

Also the prefered "cut-off" month between the 1928-mid 1931 narrow bed Pickup body vs the mid 1931 wide bed Pickup body?

Just how many different combinations did Ford make (excluding the Deluxe Pickup) concerning the Open Cab, the Closed Cab and the Pickup Box?

Doc Kalinka's 1931 Open Cab Wide Bed Pickup

In the N/D 1999 issue of Model A News was an article about Doc Kalinka's Late 1931 Open Cab Pickup with Wide Bed Pickup Box.

Does anyone know who owns that pickup now?

OR...Do you know of any 1931 Open Cabs around?

Mid 28 thru Mid 1930 Open Cab question...

Contained in the Indianapolis Service Letter of May 25, 1928 was the following statement about the 1928 Open Cab body: "The Open Cab is now interchangable on the "A" and "AA" chassis".

Besides "spliting" the Open Cab body and the Pickup body into two seperate units or body styles...Just what else did Ford do to the Open Cab body to make it "interchangable"...

Open Cab and Closed Cab body to frame attachment holes

I would like to know the evolution of the body to frame attachment holes in the 1928 Open Cab and Closed Cab bodies.

I know they changed up to a certain point in time in 1928 or there abouts.

If you have such a body and can take some photos of the rear section of these body styles only (front section was perty much the same), I would be most appreciative.

I have asked this question before but thought I would ask again...

Has anyone or know of anyone who has done research on trying to determine the production numbers of the Open and Closed Cab Pickups?

This is one of the big unknowns in Model A history.

Was it possible to mate up a Deluxe Pickup Body (66-A) with a Open Cab Body (76-B)?

Open Cab may not have been high enough in the back.
