by Jim MasonThe question of 'how do you know Ford dipped enameled some parts' comes up.
In some cases you can see where air was trapped in the part and left an area un painted. it appears Ford wasn't the only company that dipped some parts as can be seen in this EA horn motor cover.

by Tudor31Somebody called himself a knucklehead. Well. here is another one. I have had problems with the horn on my 31 Tudor and have been taking the back cover of multiple times. The last time I guess I didn't tighten the screw enough since it come off while I was out driving. Yes, you guessed it, the cover came off and the car behind my ran it over making it into a flat piece of metal. So, here we go....

by sunnyormI have a dvd put out by Diablo's As, "Removing the Model A Ford Engine": In it, Bob Grady says he uses a method of removing the headlight bar, which takes less time, than the usual method; he has cut the 4 wires (2 from the headlights, and 2 from the horn) each side of car, about halfway up the side of the radiator, and splice's in color coded wire disconnects, then when he pull's his engine,...

by Art EbelingToday I was mocking up the front fenders and running board aprons to the frame to take to the body shop. I also put the radiator shell on the radiator in order to install the hood. What keeps the bottom of the radiator shell from contacting and scratching the front fender?

by sunnyormWell, I finely got my original radiator shell, after going thru several methods, which all proved to be unsuccessful.
Now the background: first I bought a radiator ('28/29), which turned out to be some aftermarket from a few years back, and turned out to be 5/8" too tall, which, also, would not fit with repro commercial shell, so next, i was able to purchase an original radiator, which...-

by LeoOK, not a show stopper question but just a minor annoyance. I suspect a poor ground, probably too much paint in places where it should not be because all the wiring was replaced and the horn blows fine when it gets enough juice. Will a horn relay fix this? Yeah, I know it's a band aid approach.........

Have any of you heard how a model A horn sounds at 45-50 mph? I have had 2 close calls recently, One when a guy was coming into my lane and I had no place to go, the other in a parking lot with this jerk just backing out without looking and depending on a horn to warn him. Again I had no place to go because car behind me. I want a truckers air horn with a foot switch, any ideas?

One of the wires was out of the lighting switch container at the end of the steering wheel. When I unbuckled the container, another wire was off of the spade. I tightened the fastener and pushed the spades back on. they were tight. I put it back together and nothing worked . . . no horn or lights. ? I took it back off and checked the batt wire with a volt meter and it read close to 6 volts. ...
