    Visor bracket rivets
    by Art Ebeling
Today I tried to attach the sunvisor to the brackets for my Victoria using the tubular rivets supplied by Lebaron Bonney. The rivets are too short to go thru both the visor and the bracket. Not enough rivet to roll over. The rivet measures 5/16 in length which is the same thickness as the visor without the bracket. All I accompished was to scratch the plating on the bracket and squish the visor....

    Rivet question
    by wrndln
I am in the process of installing the rivets in the sub frame/floorpan/seat frame of my 29 CCPU. I am using 7/16" long 3/16" diameter brazier head rivets. I am setting the rivets cold with a waffle tool in a CP 3X rivet gun. These rivets are long enough for all but 2 of the places rivets are required. I can't find any longer brazier head rivets after looking high and low – Big Flats Rivet...

    1930 CCPU tailgate chain bracket
    by emac
The tailgate chain bracket is installed with rivets. I am replacing mine with the correct brackets and rivets. The rivet tool I have will not fit around the bed to squeeze the rivets.

Any alternative way to install the rivets? The rivets are pretty strong....

    11 running board brackets
    by Art Ebeling
I have one running board bracket not attached to the frame on my 11 T and I do not see rivets for an 11 in the suppliers catalogs, only rivets for the later stamped bracket. What rivet can be used or wher can I find them? Art

Installing mat rivets (or whatever they are called)
    by wrndln
In the past I have had a tough time installing the currently available "mat" rivets shown in the picture below. First the part that goes into the heavy 16 gauge cross sill and subrail extensions barely extend beyond the underside of metal they go in - i.e. not enough to properly roll the end of the rivet over. Second, even if I try to use a semi-tubular setting tool, the top part where...

    Radiator shell rivets
    by wrndln
I need to install the lacing on a re-plated radiator shell. I have accumulated several lengths of split rivets over the years. I have some black 5/16", 3/8" and 7/16" long split rivets. The 7/16" rivets have a larger head diameter than the other two - too large in my opinion. I also have the special tool to correctly install the rivets. I suppose I could try each of them,...

    Waffled rivets
    by Steve Plucker
Why did Ford use the Waffle type stamping of rivets in places where a domed rivet would of worked just the same?

    Floor board rivets
    by SeaSlugs
Just checking - On the 28-E29 separate plank floorboards the 3 rivets that hold the rectangular hold downs for the shifter plate - the head of the rivet is on the bottom (outside of the cab) and the washer and tube end are on the top (inside of cab) correct?

    Split Rivets
    by Steve Plucker
I am restoring a 1928 Open Cab Top Iron Assembly minus the fabric top.

I am in need of some special Split Rivets,

They are identical to the Distributor cap clamp rivet, A-22902 (Ford number) (Same length) (0.119 x 7/8"), EXCEPT they are larger (0.153 x 7/8").

So my question to you is this…Just who supplies these rivets? McMaster-Karr does not have...
