    First Club meeting..

Man I feel young..but a room full of knowledge.

Beauford, keep going and don't miss any meetings, don't miss any seminars. Those Model A guys are great people to hang out with. And get ready for the tours... Make sure your horn works for when you see those cute gals jogging along the road. They always smile when they hear you.

Flywheel housing issues and alignment,I've got three housings,a very early, a standard non reinforced and a reinforced to show...tie in clutch engagement ease, smoother shifting and vibration reduction..FAM,exhaust mounting,ect...Ill bore them to death I'm sure. Its a topic that most folks don't realize how important it is.I spent some time in the Heavy truck world, flywheel housing alignment is critical with dual disc truck clutches.I'm with you Beau,a car club is where like minded cats talk shit and share ideas about how to make their rides better, these guys love their "hard luck stories" some poor bastards car breaking down on tour..to me that's an insult, you better keep your shit right or your out...

Having younger guys in the club changes the "bell curve" and brings down the median age.
You make the whole club younger, just for being there!
    Now, how cool is that.
Those old farts should be sending you "Thank You" notes. Jeff

K-DAAD knows how to properly bend them.

Maybe he can start a thread on that.

On my recent brake job, I think fully half of my re-assembly time was spent in getting the holes to line up so I could install those pesky cotter pins. Nevermind bending them over with my arthritic hands.

At almost 50 I'm one of the younger guys in our Alaskan group. I'm learning and soaking in as much as I can knowing that at some point I'm going to be one of the older guys carrying on the knowledge of these great cars. Our club is mostly about touring and helping each other out with our cars.

I've always had a love for American history and the role that automobiles have had in it. My love for the Model A's started early. I'm not a big fan of the shows but I love putting in the miles when the weather is nice and I truly enjoy the people we get to associate with locally and nationally. I have a good friend who travelled down to the states last year and did some Model A road trips with the local club in Indiana I believe. He said he felt right at home and everyone treated him great. Young or old, the folks in this hobby are what makes it great.
