by ClO2JimI have tried finding this in the Judging Standards, but have not been able to find it.
What bolts, washers, nuts, etc. were originally used to attach the License Plate to the rear license plate bracket?
Do you use the same arrangement as the front? Seems to me that they would be different.
Thanks
Jim-

by wrndlnI bought a box of mirror parts recently and I am trying to ID them. One appears to be a 30/31 truck/pickup outside mirror bracket. I am not well versed in 30/31 model A parts, being a 28/29 fellow with four of them. I am hoping to get an answer to the bracket in the pictures below. I checked the JS's and it looks like a style 3 bracket, but the sketch in the JS's isn't too good. If someone knows...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Since the Model A came with front license clips, you'd think it would also come with license plate mounting hardware for the rear, but I don't recall ever seeing that listed or discussed. A few years ago I bought part 18930 from Bratton's because I thought it looked nice to hold the plate, but it would be nice to know what's original, if anything is.

by hudson32700September 18, 1930 Release #17050, supplement #18 has the body bracket moved to the rear 2-3/8". My late 1931 Tudor has this change and therefore uses only one bolt though this bracket.
Why was this bracket moved?-

I am in need of a photo of the Front Fender Bracket #3 as described in the Standards:
3. “In April 1929, stamped (tapered channel) fender brackets were phased into production. The stamped bracket was secured with three 3/8” diameter bolts. The lower portion where the bracket attached to the frame formed a triangular shape with straight sides. Either the forged or the stamped design...-

by DBaldwinI’m doing a dry fit on my new fenders and brackets, as far as I can tell the rear fender brackets mount onto the bed in a horizontal position at the rear of the fender. To the eye the bracket doesn’t seem to fit flush with the fender as there’s a gap of about an inch between the bracket and fender and only meets at the outer edge. Is this correct? Or am I overthinking this?
