My avatar features a 1930 Canadian Ford Model A Roadster. I have an opportunity to buy a 1929 Canadian Ford Model A Instruction Book exactly as pictured on Vince's site here: http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/1929cnfcib.htm I would prefer a 1930 Canadian Ford Model A Instruction Book as I intend to bring my avatar close to fine point. I have not seen any other editions of Canadian Ford Model A Instruction Books covering 1930 and 1931 Canadian Fords including the Canadian Model A Ford websites such as http://www.modelaowners.com/. My question: are there later editions of the Canadian Ford Model A Instruction Book? Of course I could ask Vince in a private email but that would limit his answer to me, not others. Additionally, there may be readers of this site who actually have a 1930 (or 1931) edition and could share that knowledge.

I've never heard of this booklet before, and by the price it sold for I guess I'll never own one.

Does anyone who collects or knows anything about the Canadian Model A/AA Ford production, know anything about Canada's Export of Model A/AA Fords?
Do any of you have the documents titled "Shipments to Overseas Branches and Indent Dealers...1928 and 1929" and/or "Overseas Shipments...1930, 1931, and 1932" from Canada?
Thanks....-

by rkmillerI was reading through some of my Dad's reference material on the Model A - I think it was Henry's Lady and it shows a timeline where it says that the factories shut down in November 1929 to retool for the 1930 models. I was just curious if that is true and when did Ford start 1930 vehicle production. I read somewhere but I forget when ford started the next years vehicles in August/September, I am...

Part 3, about the Model AA Vehicles will come out MUCH later (I am taking a break from that so I can do some other projects) and Part 4, about the Canadian/Australian Model A's, may come...-

It seems many folks have a misconception of what this amazing reference is all about. The book is a valuable resource like the Les Andrews, Service Bulletins, and others. This is not just for restoring or working on a points car, it is a regular shop manual as well. More work went into this book over the years than any other reference available....You do not have permission to view this gallery.

This is one of the first books I bought about Model A's. It's one of the "must have" books for every Model A owner.
I see this can still be bought new, but the price has really gone up. It's $46 in the Bratton's catalog.
