'Unfortunately at the staging area they are running them over with a dozer so they fit together nicely. I saw a whole truckload of crushed 20s and 30s cars go by today'..Carl said he can hear their souls screaming..

We have a member of our club that had a roadster that was in a fire. Completly burned. He took it all apart and restored the car about 20 years ago. It is still on the road and running well. We often hear from others about how the metal is worthless and the car is a complete loss when in a fire. I have knowledge of the opposite. Argue if you like but I have seen it and still see it today. It's amazing what can be done when you don't know it can't be done.

There is just something about the pre war metal that just refuses to quit in the hands of someone who knows how to massage it.
You wana look waaay far up da road and plan yer route because the brakes are far more of a suggestion than a command!

I'm doing a chassis from a burned car right now..the body took too much heat, the metal was soft like cheese.

Going to look at these tomorrow along with shift towers and cases, clamshells and two complete trannys..Fella says in the ad that they are 'model a transmission parts' and has them priced as such..much as i like a model a transmission in the banger the thought of a '39 top loader synchro box intrigues me.. scored two 8BA's two months ago as well,I see an AV8...

            by Grit Kid
There is a guy over on the Model A Ford Parts Swap and Sell Facebook page that bought a real nice 30/31 coupe and has started stripping it to chop it.

This is what it looked like after he bought it and got it home.

            The results he wants.........

Model A books to pass the lockdown time
            by Jeff/Illinois
A few good Model A Ford books to add to your library, or get them back out and re-read them. This helps pass the time during the present quarantine and sure beats watching boring TV. (Except for ME TV and all the oldies channels with Adam-12 reruns, Green Acres, Andy Griffith etc. THEY were good shows. Turner Classic Movies is worthwhile too, just watched the 1967 Bonnie & Clyde for the 10th...
