How do you remove seat backrest ? I don’t see anything holding it.

There are some L shaped brackets that you access through the rumble seat area . Some have 2 or 3 screws that go through the seat riser and the L shaped brackets. They are quite hard to reach with the rumble cushions installed unless you are way more flexible than I am . I hope this makes sense . Norm

            Rumble seat riser placement
            by Mickey
I'm having trouble figuring out the exact placement fore and aft for the rumble seat riser. Anyone with pictures, measurement or suggestions? The repro I have gives very little latitude left and right so centered will have to do.

            Rumble Seat Brackets
            by hardpanman
Can someone check the OEM part numbers for the '28-'31 Model A rumble seat brackets? I have two with the following numbers; A-52533 and A52534 (no dash). See attached photos. Both have W5-1 to the right of the first set. I don't know if Ford would have made a mistake with the dash and I suspect these are reproductions, however all the repros I have seen carry the same part number, A-41543 for the...

            Rumble seat cushion anchoring.
            by greenhornet
I think my rumble seat cushions are pretty good originals not a reproduction but the rumble seat floor is a fabrication. The car was restored in the fifties and sixties probably before reroductions were made for seat springs and floor. My question is this how does the rumble seat cushion on a '31 roadster fasten to the floor.I think I see holes in the repro floor platform and my seat spring has two...

            Under seat storage
            by Fomoco998
My 30 coupe with rumble seat needs storage . Looking at under seat pan with recess but no one lists how deep for the 1930 just the 28/29 . Is this a good alternative ? Looking for any or all options.

Is there some place where it shows an exploded view of the rumble seat area. Just trying to see what parts are needed to make a complete rumble seat. Thanks in advance. Hugh

            Seat belts in rumble seat
            by Tom Rode
I am searching for information on installing lap belts in the rumble seat of my A. I see many threads and articles about belts for the front seat which I am planning for my next project, but see no info on lap belts for rumble seat, where everyone want to ride. Anyone done this. Also looking for method for padding the area behind the front seat for those rear passengers.

            Question on Rumble Seats
            by copgib
I have a 1930 Model A Coupe with a rumble seat. My question is when the seat is closed what hardware is supposed to be on it? Mine has nothing, but I see other Model A with grab bars and a locking handle to open it up with. All help will be appreciated.

rumble seat question, WARNING maybe dumb question
            by thom
We have not had any passengers in the rumble seat of our "new" '28 coupe yet, but will have soon. Besides the obvious, use the two steps, and no women with heels, what should I/we do or tell passengers to help them get safely into and out of the rumble seat without danger to themselves or damaging our car? We have never owned a car with a rumble seat before. Thanks.
