"Bullshit and Brilliance Comes with Age and Experience"
Tom NW Illinois isn't the frozen wasteland. Yet. 54 Saturday, 50's again Tuesday upper 40's all week no snow here yet all winter been pretty mild . Kinda cool Christmas Day but not bad.
IDOT (or as Tom would say IDIOT) in their wisdom dumped about 10 tons of rock salt uptown for three-four blocks in each direction of the Intersection between two major highways here in town. It is in a mound at the four way stop????? And it hasn't snowed or freezing rain or anything this was Saturday when it was 54 degrees. Totally ignorant. Our cars are put away already but there are a lot of local guys still driving. Saw a real nice '66 Olds Toronado go by today and a late 50's Chevy Impala a '58 I think it was. But the bridges out of town are white with salt already. Geez........................

Ok, since I posted something on this in 2 separate threads yesterday, I figured I'd start a new thread for the updates.
So, let me preface this by saying, yesterday I was on my way out when I heard a "kathunk" and coasted to the side of the street, whereupon I popped the dizzy cap to find the rotor not moving. *sigh* Now, this is on the engine I just 2 weeks ago finished refreshing...
