  • Fordson Tractors Serial Numbers...

Did the 1928-1932 Fordson Tractors have Serial numbers?

If so...what were some that are known?

Did they have Model A type engines?

    Thanks.

Might ask on the Yesrerdays Tractor Forum. I do not beleive the engine was much like the A other than having 4 cyl's. Rod

I wonder if the Fordson had a crank with only a main bearing at each end of the crank, like some other tractors of that period?
They would need to be a huge crank to support such a load with only 2 main bearings, without flexing too much.

The engine was not like Model A. They were flat head 4 cylinders. As I remember they were much bigger than the A. Also a lot people think the 8n is a Model A engine. again not even close. I worked on a lot of 8n's in my Dads garage.

This site shows various models with serial numbers and photos, it looks European but contact has a MN address.
