I've seen a lot of tool cabinet and tool boxes over the years. I've had most of mine from the 70's and 80's. Show us yours.

This is the newer style Snap On Epiq series tool box. It features automatic led lighting, stainless steel work top, peg board along the back, torsion suspension wheels, power outlets, and many more features. I have a full cover for it and it's about 12' long. The side cabinets are bolted onto the main unit and also hold a ton of stuff with pull out drawers. The whole set up lists for approx 28K..

Now that's BITCHIN!! Is that a Model A diaper clipped on the end? Thats a good way to store them. I have a stack of them up on one of my cabinets. The stack is shrinking though.

Similar to the one my son has. If it weren't for the "pay as you go" plan with Snap-On, he would still be working out of the little blue Kobalt bench I got for him 12-13 years ago when he was just getting started.
Me, on the other hand, am totally satisfied with my 3 Kennedy chests, all interlocked to look like one.

Does that thing have tail lights and a tow hitch? I bought a few houses cheaper than that box.

28K! Wow. I'll stick with my OG Craftsman top and bottom boxes. Paid 175 bucks for them in 1972. Still stores tools just fine. Sure doesn't have the capacity of that setup, but since I work alone, at home, I can store many more tools/equipment on shelves in the shop without fear of sticky fingersHas it ever occurred to you that the sole purpose for your existence might be to serve as a warning to others?

I have had these since the early 70s, built by Gerstner & Sons in Dayton, Ohio (my home town.) I have a small 7 drawer box with a single door base in walnut, too.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

I still have Greggs' like new, Snap-On chest. It weighs 550 Lbs, EMPTY! Current new price is $4,595 .00. I also have his HUGE Matco chest & BOTH are PACKED with TOOLS. I'd like to sell them & MOST of MY equipment, for $8,000.00 CASH.---I can't do PICS, you'd have to come LOOK & bring a Flatbed, with a WINCH!

Well I don’t have a roll away yet, because unfortunately the garage isn’t built yet. But, I work everyday out of 2 Craftsman 3 drawer toolboxes, a Homak cantilever, & a Starrett machinists box. I carry everything in those boxes except the kitchen sink.

My "mechanic toolbox" is the 46" Milwaukee tool box/chest.
My woodworking tool cabinet is a hand dovetailed Mahogany and Tigerwood cabinet I built last year.the inside doors with the saws and measuring items open up again and hold my chisels and screwdrivers.

by BudPThought I would share my experiences of this year with Model A tool buying. By way of introduction I have several Model A's. All with the exception of one I bought from Mitch's friend (Mitch was the mechanic) did not run. I finished my last major repair job in Jan, 2020 with the rebuild of a transmission and was looking forward to a summer of driving Model A's. COVID happened and as the only...

by DennisI spent the afternoon finishing up my differential tools. I gathered up some pieces from my scrap pile and tool box drawers, a few pieces I bought at Home Depot. I have a miniature lathe that I've used a lot over the years to turn out small pieces for special purpose tools. It came in real handy this time. I wanted to have the ability to check bearing preload and ring to pinion backlash, so there...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by JKYI've been looking for a 3/8-24 thread adaptor to build a float level tool like is talked about in the Les Andrews books. I've seen the tools in the parts suppliers and would like to build one that's a little more quality. I can't seem to locate the adaptor. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? I have a couple of Zeniths to rebuild and would like to have one in my tool selections.
