  • Reconsidering the value of my Model A

    Maybe I was mistaken to think Model A values were dropping. Take a gander at this chassis for sale on the MAFCA site:

    It’s such an interesting market. I guess part of me is glad they’re not getting big money, if they were it would drive a lot of the good folks out.

      The cost to buy one is literally half the cost of a full professional restoration. Supply is fairly high, demand is fairly low.

        Or its the nicest chassis in the country! The point is most of the prices we see are asking prices. The only true selling price is on a venue like eBay. Even though I have an A, I still peruse the sale sights to see whats out there. I still see the same cars offered that were listing months ago.

          A person can ask any price they like, but only actual sale prices are worth noting.

            I'm sure it is a typo? $4500 would be more in line for this not $45K!

              Guess I am lucky, paid $500 for mine and it was running when bought. Of course that was 40+ yrs ago. Hope to live long enough to get the ole gal up and running again.
