I put my original 31 cowlband installed just finger tight today. When I hold the cowl lamp arms against the cowl band there is a gap between tahe arm and the body. Do the lamp arms get tightened enough to close that gap. I had two cowl lamp arms break when shipped from the plater so I am not wanting to force these.

If everything is correct it should be a perfect fit once you tighten them up. Tighten the cowl band first, but watch out for squashing the band with the lamp arms.. Since your using all original stuff it should be fine, but it is scary snugging them down.. Use two people and one with a good eye on the outside3~ Tudor's & 1~ Coupe
