  • Chassis Diagram

What is a good resource for diagrams of the frame with front and rear suspension parts named? I have the restoration guidelines and will look tonight.

The Parts Price List gives many pictures, descriptions, and prices of the parts, but isn't really an assembly picture like you want.

Mitch, exactly what I am looking for, except would like to be able to save the pdf in larger format to print. Heck, I would pay for them.

            Chassis Diagram
            by Terry, NJ
I hate to seem stupid, But Think the curved brake shaft is assembled bassackwards. I'm sure it must exist, but I couldn't find a chassis assembly diagram. I found an assembly diagram for a lot of other stuff, like water pumps, transmissions, distributors and generators, but not brake shafts!

            October 28 parts list
            by Jim Mason
Some time ago I created a MS acess database made up of standard parts book, Oct 28 parts list, body parts list, trim and hardware referring to the late 28 Tudor. I intended to publish it. I don't think I'll ever get it done.
I sent a copy of the parts list sorted by finish report to Rod. I posted a copy of that report over on the fine point side.

After puzzling over it for awhile...

Book Question - Hardware & Parts...
            by KB9JLO
I bought the "Model A Standard Hardware Manual" - and it does indeed have lots and lots of hardware (bolts, screws, nuts, fasteners...) listed in it. But I thought it might have more pictures of where those fasteners were exactly or what they were. I don't know what each and every part is supposed to be called. It does a good job of listing the hardware but if you don't exactly know what/where...

            Reproduction Parts
            by dmdeaton
Was going to put this in technical, but pertains to both sections. Who is making all the repro parts offered on the market today? How much of this is US made and how much is from overseas?...

            Reproduction parts
            by Poor Boy
Good evening. I have been spending quite a bit of time working on my A over the winter and I think that I might have an observation. I have a couple of truckloads of parts, original and early reproduction, that I bought from estates. I have also bought new reproduction parts to fill the gaps in what I needed. It appears to me like there is a dramatic improvement in the quality of the newer parts...

            Ahooga Reproduction Parts
            by dmdeaton
I was working in Dayton this morning and on the way back to Cincinnati I decided to look up some parts shops in the area. Since I was driving through and had a few minutes I would stop and check them out. Gaslight is in Urbana, too far north. Ahooga is right on the way home. I stopped in what is a factory and I couldn't believe what I saw. Punch presses actually making parts for A's and T's here in...

LH parking brake lever parts diagram
            by thom
Can someone post or link me to a parts diagram of an early '28 left mounted park brake handle? I'm trying to make a spring work in mine and so far have not figured out how. The rod going down to the pawl is still spring loaded, but the squeeze handle is floppy.

            by KB9JLO
I found a 1930 fordor, Murray body. Not running but sure looks like it would run with some work (did run - not known how long ago). Comes with parts, parts and more parts. New parts: hinges, handles, wiring, radiator hoses... Used parts - all kinds of stuff, carbs, gearboxes, two extra motors, extra transmission w/bellhousing. Has glass. Basic body is good, cowl on drivers side is bad, front fenders,...

            Where to find chrome parts.
            by STOOZE
I just bought a 1951 Ford. Albeit in great condition, it does need a few parts re-chromed or replaced. Where might I find new parts?...
