I have a 30 coupe with rumble seat and am trying to determine if it is a "deluxe" or "standard" ? What are the determining factors to classify a 30 coupe as such?? Thanks!

Hey Bogdonj Welcome back!
I fixed your sideways avatar for you
cowl lights, Mohair or Bedford cord upholstery, pin stripe on the gas tank, a dome light, wood grained dash and garnish moldings, scroll inside door handles, carpeted floor mat
I prob missed some stuff
The rumble seat in 30 was an option

The deluxe coupe also had an adjustable seat. If your coupe has a dome lamp and adjustable seat, it is a deluxe. Cowl lamps are not a good indication, as many of them were added, just like rumble seats were added. And the really obnoxious addition was to add roadster top rest bars to a coupe and call them grab bars, which they are not.
Only deluxe open cars had shorter windshields, NOT closed cars.

My 36 coupe has a roll down rear window from the factory. I may sell the car, since I bought a 47 yesterday;

I have plenty of storage space. 30 x 60 two story barn, and 4 box trailers. I can get 3 cars in each trailer, and the good ones in the barn. I dont have enough time to drive them all. The photos of the 48 sedan are still in the camera, but here are a few of the 36. I just sewed up some new interior for it.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by greenhornetI have a lot of other issues to straighten out before I deal with the rumble seat floor on my recently acquired '31 roadster but wonder if I should bother at all.I don't think body has ever been removed from frame and floor is pretty solid under driver seat and even the floor where your feet go in rumble area. Someone replaced the rumble seat platform with a galvanized sheet metal piece that is really...

by WaltIs there supposed to be any trim on the edge of the seat base frame? I recently bought a 30 coupe (my first A) that had the interior kit in boxes. I don't see anything for that edge of the seat base and there isn't any mention in the instructions for the Cartouche kit.

by CarlLaFongAfter 55 years of riding bikes, I had my final crash two weeks ago. A shattered right elbow and a torn ACL. Lucky to be on this side of the dirt. I grew up with Model "A"s.. My HS parking lot was full of them. I had a 30 coupe in the early 70s. I always wanted another " A Bone" to fool around with. I guess it's time. As soon as I am back up to speed, I will be looking for one....

by Bikerider5830 Deluxe with trunk converted to rumble seat. Riders are few and far between, but I think the seat is cool to have.
Any suggestions on a locking arm or rail to keep back from falling forward?
After removing the seats for general use, I understand an area should be blocked off at the back. How much area?-

Could someone who has a rumble measure the width of the opening. There is a antique folding table on Ebay. I need to know if it would slide into the floor. It's 36in and that might be too wide.
From rain gutter to rain gutter...………..
Thanks-

by kevinfI have a 31 roadster and my two rumble seat steps are in the pictures. The one on the fender is silver and the one on the bumper is painted black. Aren't they both supposed to be silver in color? Also, when I have looked at a few of the Model A parts places online the rumble seat steps have the circle in the middle painted black with the rest of the step being silver. The newer ones from the online...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by cpf240While looking at my floor pan rust issues, I noticed some things about the seat base and riser that I'd like to ask about.
There are metal tabs on the inside front edge of the seat base, and what I'm calling clips on the front edge of the seat riser. I have not been able to find mention of these, nor a part number for the clips on the seat riser to help in determining their purpose....You do not have permission to view this gallery.
