I have a 30 coupe with rumble seat and am trying to determine if it is a "deluxe" or "standard" ? What are the determining factors to classify a 30 coupe as such?? Thanks!

Hey Bogdonj Welcome back!
I fixed your sideways avatar for you
cowl lights, Mohair or Bedford cord upholstery, pin stripe on the gas tank, a dome light, wood grained dash and garnish moldings, scroll inside door handles, carpeted floor mat
I prob missed some stuff
The rumble seat in 30 was an option
3~ Tudor's & 1~ Coupe

The deluxe coupe also had an adjustable seat. If your coupe has a dome lamp and adjustable seat, it is a deluxe. Cowl lamps are not a good indication, as many of them were added, just like rumble seats were added. And the really obnoxious addition was to add roadster top rest bars to a coupe and call them grab bars, which they are not.
Only deluxe open cars had shorter windshields, NOT closed cars.

You have to REALLY want one of those roll up/down rear windows. I checked the price at Mac's (UGH!) and the price is $566 and change for the kit. Then add the shipping. There's not much to them.

My 36 coupe has a roll down rear window from the factory. I may sell the car, since I bought a 47 yesterday;

I have plenty of storage space. 30 x 60 two story barn, and 4 box trailers. I can get 3 cars in each trailer, and the good ones in the barn. I dont have enough time to drive them all. The photos of the 48 sedan are still in the camera, but here are a few of the 36. I just sewed up some new interior for it.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by Keith TrueI have a 31 Coupe, indented firewall.Somebody was looking at it today, and was scratching his head over the seat adjuster. It has the lever with the saw tooth adjuster. His recollection was that only the Deluxe Coupes had that style adjuster. It had an interior done in it many years ago,so I can't tell by that.I can't feel any dome light block in the ceiling, and it has never had cowl lights. We agreed the...

by DBaldwinAs some of you know I’m currently helping Hugh to restore his 30 coupe. As I have spent a fair amount of time climbing in and out of the rumble area I have personally come to the realization that this is a really dangerous setup! I can’t count the times I’ve almost busted my ass getting in and out of the rumble area! Aesthetically the coupe with a rumble seat looks very appealing but as far...

by copgibI have a 1930 Model A Coupe with a rumble seat. My question is when the seat is closed what hardware is supposed to be on it? Mine has nothing, but I see other Model A with grab bars and a locking handle to open it up with. All help will be appreciated.

by Fomoco998My 30 coupe with rumble seat needs storage . Looking at under seat pan with recess but no one lists how deep for the 1930 just the 28/29 . Is this a good alternative ? Looking for any or all options.

by dmaxwebIs this panel really totally flat? In my coupe it tapers slighty down towards the center in both directions to about about 3/4" lower in the middle. I believe it's an original panel and perhaps just from people standing on it for 90 years. I was under the car and just happened to push it up and it popped right back down.
Not a big deal by any means, just curious. Afterall, many things...-

by greenhornetI have a lot of other issues to straighten out before I deal with the rumble seat floor on my recently acquired '31 roadster but wonder if I should bother at all.I don't think body has ever been removed from frame and floor is pretty solid under driver seat and even the floor where your feet go in rumble area. Someone replaced the rumble seat platform with a galvanized sheet metal piece that is really...

by WaltIs there supposed to be any trim on the edge of the seat base frame? I recently bought a 30 coupe (my first A) that had the interior kit in boxes. I don't see anything for that edge of the seat base and there isn't any mention in the instructions for the Cartouche kit.

by greenhornetI think my rumble seat cushions are pretty good originals not a reproduction but the rumble seat floor is a fabrication. The car was restored in the fifties and sixties probably before reroductions were made for seat springs and floor. My question is this how does the rumble seat cushion on a '31 roadster fasten to the floor.I think I see holes in the repro floor platform and my seat spring has two...
