Its a 1930, no reinforcing behind the radiator supports in the firewall
gas tank will only fit a 30 or 31 ,and is correct only for a 30 as the instrument panel is different for a 31

I was assuming it was more about correctness of dash in the response and not functionality. Well at least that saves me on the rusted bolts and screws. Thanks...anyone need a 30?

Isn't the instrument panel the same from mid 1930 thru 1931?

                        by Steve Plucker
Russell Knaack and myself are working on an article called "The Evolution of the 1928-1931 Model A Ford 2-Window Fordor Sedans".

We are in need of some production data off of these body's that you may have if in fact you have one yourself or know of one of the following body styles:

                        60-A (1928): Original Body Tag number and Gas tank date;

                        60-B (1929):...

Anyone Die of Heat Stroke at Iola?
                        by Tom Wesenberg
I wanted to go to Iola this year, but the weather has put me so far behind, and I knew it was going to be hotter than ever at Iola, so I stayed home.

I'm just wondering if anyone here is there, and how is it this year? I wonder what the feature car is this year?

                        Gas Tank Baffles
                        by gdaquilina
Do the gas tank baffles ever come loose and bang around in the tank? I have a very sharp metallic sound when going over bumps that sounds as if it is coming from the gas tank. I have checked everything that is anywhere near the cowl for looseness and signs of metal on metal contact and have come up empty. Any ideas?

28 Fordor Leatherback gas tank installation problem
                        by Supergnat
I am attempting to install a replacement gas tnk in my Oct 28 Fordor Leatherback. I have the tank bolted to the cowl but am unable to fit the firewall piece that holds the sediment bulb and terminal box in place. The opening is about 1/4 inch too small. Does anyone have a suggestion to resolve this problem. I This panel was difficult to remove when I was trying to get the old tank out. I'm afrais...

Is it the body color (Maroon in my case), or is it painted black? ...

                        by DaWizard
I am sitting here looking at what information I have been able to gather about my particular '28 Tudor and it occurred to me that there is a birthday coming up next month for "The Beast". Which got me to thinking about which day this happy occasion should be observed.

See, the trouble is, from the information I have been able to gather, the stamped number on the block says,
                        ...
