Its a 1930, no reinforcing behind the radiator supports in the firewall
gas tank will only fit a 30 or 31 ,and is correct only for a 30 as the instrument panel is different for a 31

I was assuming it was more about correctness of dash in the response and not functionality. Well at least that saves me on the rusted bolts and screws. Thanks...anyone need a 30?Comment

Do the gas tank baffles ever come loose and bang around in the tank? I have a very sharp metallic sound when going over bumps that sounds as if it is coming from the gas tank. I have checked everything that is anywhere near the cowl for looseness and signs of metal on metal contact and have come up empty. Any ideas?08-05-2019, 06:06 PM -

I am attempting to install a replacement gas tnk in my Oct 28 Fordor Leatherback. I have the tank bolted to the cowl but am unable to fit the firewall piece that holds the sediment bulb and terminal box in place. The opening is about 1/4 inch too small. I am sitting here looking at what information I have been able to gather about my particular '28 Tudor and it occurred to me that there is a birthday coming up next month for "The Beast". Which got me to thinking about which day this happy occasion should be observed.
