  • Recommendations needed for light switch

I brought my "new" 29 Tudor home Friday. A frame off restoration in 95 that was never finished. Its missing the horn/light rod, light switch and wiring loom. I've seen warnings about imported switch bodies. Who offers the best deal on a US made part? The car has the 7 tooth steering.

Here is a thread which may help
Was going to put this in technical, but pertains to both sections. Who is making all the repro parts offered on the market today? How much of this is US made

      Light switch interference
      by Tom Rode
I have run into another "issue" with the A, I turn on the headlights and first time I make a turn the switch moves to the off position with the turning of the wheel. Does not move from off with additional turns though. Thinking there is some kind of bushing of something that may just need lubrication. Is there any adjustment here, of should I just try to get some light oil around the...

Model A light switch installation and adjustments
      by Harryjames
Good Morning Everyone and greetings from Sioux Falls South Dakota. I would like to ask for some advice about fitting a new light switch on a 1929 Model A Tudor. The car came t me from a friend with a request for help. The old switch was laying in pieces at the bottom of the steering column and the car has the two light system. I looked at the parts and realized that the little C clip was missing and...

      Light Switch
      by myturn
New to the group. I got a 1928 Model A Coupe. I have been reading the good information about the light switch. Found that my light switch is upside down. To turn it do I also need to turn the plate where the groove go in? If so, is it as simple as unbolting and turning?

      Assembling horn/light switch spider
      by Oldgearz
I looked briefly for concise instructions for how to assemble the horn/light switch spider and couldn't find info. So I invented my own and will pass them on. This assumes light switch is wired for inside light handle to be in "off" position when it is at 6:00 and low and high beams one click left and right. Always note orientation of spider forks in relation to the orientation of the...

29 Fordor, column out of car , replaced horn rod wire, wheel back on , lubricated top bushing under horn button on reassembly. Spider , spring and clip assembled , Question is , is it normal for light switch lever to follow on times the steering wheel when rotating? This never done this before , just wondering if its because column is not in car with bottom section of light switch installed. any ...

      LIGHT SWITCH INSTALLATION
      by Cape Codder
WHAT DO MOST DO? Bit of a debate with the Bailing Wire that holds the Light Switch at the bottom of the Steering Column. Is the Bailing wire installed in the hole of the Switch OR JUST belowthe hole?
