Are hood latches body paint color or black? '29 RPU I think I can get these Gaslight front fenders to work. The welting should fill in pretty well.

I'm on the road and don't have access to it at the moment. It just dawned on me as I think I have these fenders figured out....knock on wood. (my head)

BUT, if yo' fenders are Purple, paint them to match! If yo' fenders are PINK, I WURRY about you----LOL

The new name for the book is the "Restoration Guidlines and Judging Standards". Those that have been around know the greater value of the book as used for restoration then for judging but the name change came about due to those new to the Model A figuring that they would never have their car judged so why spend money on a book called "Judging Standards and Restoration Guidelines" seems that the major purpose is for judging.

    Hood latch
    by Art Ebeling
I have four hood latches two have the seam in the barrel on the hood side and two have the seam on the fender side. All four might be reproduction as the hook that fits on the hood is not very well formed, they are kind of straight, not curved. How do I tell if they are original or not? Thanks, Art

    Hood Latches Pop Open
    by Mach.8
On the right side only, after driving at speed, the right hood latches become unlatched. The latches and hinge appear to be in good condition and the hood acceptably aligned. The spring tension in the latches seems good and equal to those on the left. The radiator support rods are tight. I've only driven the car about 500 miles, but this is happening with increased frequency. Any ideas on how...

    Hood rods
    by Hazelhoff
Well, got help and installed the Hood. Now I notice the smaller rods which hold the side panels are the hood length .. Wouldn't it be better to cut them so the tips don't sit on the lace, forcing the hood away from where it is supposed to rest ?

    Hood Shelves
    by Beauford
In between my blocks the shelf is raised a little off the splash. Yes they are repop. Any ideas to resolve this? Same on both sides and all bolts in correct holes. Hood is not on yet but hoping since the blocks are down good that the latching will at least push it down....
