Hi Mitch I just got a PM from Barry B. He's having trouble accessing this site so he can post. He went thru the registration process (had a heck of a time I guess, he's sharp but about 78) but he can't access to post. Evidently he got a message confirming he was registered. Can you help (I know you can)??
Maybe xfer his avatar over from the Barn also?

Hello everyone, I'm Kevin 84 (and that's my name and my age) so I didn't figure many people would have that to sign in with. I'm a Model A lover and have had a few in my more physical days, but have been looking for one and finally made the leap and I'm really glad to join this group. I'm looking forward to joining in and learning on this Forum. I purchased a 1930 2-door coupe with Rumble Seat and looks like it's had a frame off older restoration but it is a beauty. It does need some work, steers worse than a truck so will be asking and looking for information on that if you will allow me to.

Hello Vintage Ford Forum. New Member. Jeff Dupuis.
Thank You Mitch for creating a new venue of Old Car conversations. And to your "Dad" the great Bill Williamson for informing me of your new forum. I hope to absorb lots of information here as well as add some of my knowledge (as limited as it my be) to this great forum.
I do recognize some names here, and look forward to future correspondence with all that are involved in this group.
In the meantime I'll be catching up on past conversations by trying to read alot of the older postings.

I kept telling DAD to give you and some others a heads up, so i am glad that he is listening. Don't sell yourself short, because from what i remember you have your own extensive knowledge base on these cars. If you need any help with forum issues i am always available to assist. Feedback is also appreciated and acted on, because this is the peoples forum. Maybe i'll send Dad a full box of Afterburner coffee as payment lol

Hi, I'm new to the Forum but have owned a number of A's for the past 25 years. (29 Roadster, 28 Pick-up, and a '30 Tudor) I am in the early stages of restoring a'30 Coupe which I have had since the start. Doing a total nuts and bolts restoration. I have the frame complete, front and rear axles in place, and am working on the wheels so that it can finally roll around again. I have a 31 SW sedan as a driver and a '28AA in the yard for a project some day. I am enjoying the various posts on the site!

Decided to introduce myself I've been reading for quite a while and have a stock 1930 coupe which I bought sometime ago and decided time for me to make it mine as in redoing the previous restoration .I have been playing with old cars mostly 50's and 60's . After getting body done to my standards I'm going to convert to hydraulic brakes , get rid of the 19" tires and am thinking of a flathead 8 . Hope I don't upset you guys by doing this . I do all my own work with over 50 years exp. These changes are what I feel is necessary for me to enjoy the car more . I will not chop and plan on keeping the look stock as possible.

BTW, very nice looking coupe, and like it has been said before, "it is your car and you can do with it as you please" in regards to the modifications.

Keep putting the pictures up of the modifications you do. We also like video tutorials of those mods.

Hello everyone, my name is Ronnie Hill and I will be 50 in July. I’m glad that there’s a place to ask and answer Model A question’s without getting ran down the road. I grew up with Model A’s and have a little knowledge of A’s. Not nearly as much as most guys on here. I was lucky enough to get to be very good friends with Rodger Kauffman the last 5 or 6 years before he passed away. Rodger was a great guy and if you knew him you know he knew Model A’s inside and out. Anyway I’m glad to be here. I have a original unrestored late 31 standard Coupe and a early 31 pickup.
