I read somewhere that there is a company that makes hinge pin mirrors for the Vicky and S/W. I guess Bert's sells the correct size hinge pins, but not the mirrors. According to what I read, the mirrors have to be drilled out a little to accommodate the wider pin. Who sells the hinge pin mirrors that will fit a Vicky? Thanks, Smitty

by DesertGI love it when something works out. Hinge pin did not come out with punch or air hammer, but came out like butter with Snyder's tool. Drilled out hinge mirror to fit 5" convex mirror shaft, added chrome allen head bolt. I am happy!...

by rheacoxThis problem has finally gotten annoying enough to post about here. My top drivers side door hinge has a very annoying vibration and I'm 95% sure it's caused by a poor fitting bolt used with the side mirror that's attached to the hinge. I can quiet it if I reach out and grab the hinge but that gets old fast
. I could probably just order a hinge pin, pull the mirror and cure my problem but...

by rheacoxIs your hinge mounted mirror loose? In the never ending quest to track down rattles in my Fordor one of the worst offenders has been the upper hinge on the front left door where my side mirror is mounted. It really only happens around 25 in 3rd but still very annoying. Ordered a new special bolt from Brattons and it measured .233"... no good. The hinge pin below it that keeps working its way...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by BNCHIEFI have hinge pin mirrors on my 30 tudor, the gap between the hinge and the mirror is probably 1/4" when i screw the set screw in it almost threads completely thru the mirror, I shimmed up the gap with a piecece of aluminum strap wrapped in black duct tape to prevent marring but this does not hold the mirror in place . Any suggestions?

by RumblerI have a question on the door hinge orientation for my CCPU. The manufacturing process to roll the windshield pillar half of the hinge creates a vertical seam along the hinge pin hole. This seam may be oriented toward either the front or rear. Which way is correct?

by Cape CodderIs there such a part as "Removeable Rear View Mirrors" for a Model A? A search shows none BUT that doesn't mean there are none when I'm searching!
As can be seen on my Avatar I own a "Blindback" which is not easy for me to see anything when I'm alone. Has anyone come up with an idea for these mirrors vs the door hinge mounted ones?
Thanks to ALL!...-

by OldgearzThe right side of my rumble lid hits the frame at the front. In looking at the hinge, it looks like it might be a slotted deal that allows for adjustment. Is this right? However, the bolt that goes through the hinge has a flat unslotted head on the inside which I can't keep from turning when I try to loosen the hinge nut. What's the secret to adjusting the hinge lid?
