Repop fenders are aweful. Found it better to avoid them. After much horse trading I was able to find a good set for the delivery and Dads coupe. Rod

I'll take a look. I do know my side aprons are in a little too much at the front so I will loosen cab and slide them out a little.

Yep ck those aprons every little bit helps. The way to do it is assemble all the chassis sheet metal with the body off, fit everything and bolt it up.
Take it apart paint then reassemble,, but you'll get it eventually and waiting 5 months for your fenders is a screw job! That is just to long for a part that is available

Keep posting your progress here, we will try and help you get to the finish line.

          Buffing front fenders
          by JohnB15632
About Last Monday, I painted the front fenders, aprons, and the firewall. I put down 3 layers of Top Coat Paint. I then put down 2 layers of Clear Coat. I have not touched them all week.

My question is, now that buffing is my next step, where is the best location to do the buffing of the front fenders? Do I buff them on the tables or can I mount them on the frame?

          Sorry the...

'30-'31 Reproduction Fenders - What experience do you have?
          by Jwmckenzie
Just was looking at the write up on repairing reproduction fenders in the Body Shop Forum, very informative.

          https://www.vintagefordforum.com/for...-front-fenders

Seems the issue being addressed in the write up is a poor fit of the skirt nose to the fender. Is the problem the fender or skirt nose? I...

          What DID I buy?
          by Mickey
I posted a while back a question about fenders and have a follow-up question.

          What did I buy??

The fenders are lined up nose to nose.

Now let me say I hold no one accountable but myself. It's entirely up to me to make sure I get what I'm looking for. I didn't take measurements or pictures but had...

28 Model A with 30 fenders and stanchions.
          by pooch
If you have ever wondered what an early A would look like with 30 fenders, here it is.

SS 30 stanchions are fitted too.

The next info will probably only be of use to OZ guys....

Has a HR front end with CRS 2 inch dropped spindles.

With this setup, I got it as low as I wanted it at the front WITHOUT having to fit lunchboxes....

I could be at home working on my A instead of working 12 hours a day to pay for my A. Speaking of $$$ who makes correct or near correct '28 fenders?

          Trial fit !
          by pAAt
Bolted on my fenders, splash shields, and running boards today. It is a good fit, so I was going to pull them off tomorrow and get them painted.

Called the Jury duty line tonight and now I get to serve my Government tomorrow. Always something getting in my way on this AA.

Should be running soon enough anyway Thanks Beau for showing me it can get done, if you have enough...

          Undercoat
          by Dennis
Would you or would you not put undercoat on under your fenders. My fenders had a few dings from underneath, which weren’t all that bad considering 90 yrs. but a previous owner had sprayed something on decades ago. It was pretty much petrified and took only a couple applications of paint stripper to get it off. Most likely this car will never judged at a MARC OR MAFCA event and if I were to undercoat...

          31 welled fenders question?
          by Ronnie Hill
I just bought a pair of 31 welled fenders that are a little different than what I’ve seen before. I’m pretty sure the fenders are original but I’m not sure about the wells. The wells have two drain holes and no rib in the center. I’m sure someone here knows something about this.
          I’d appreciate any information.
          thanks: Ronnie...
