    New Member Introduction

    Hello all,

I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I am new to the forum and the Model A world and live in the Detroit area. I purchased my first Model A about three months ago which is a 1931 Deluxe Roadster. I was not even planning on getting one, but my wife and I ran across this one when we were at someplace and it was love at first site. Through looking at reference books and help of people from the local club I have changed all fluids, done lubrication, cleaned up and rehabbed the carb, and changed out the battery. I have also been enjoying driving it and have done about 250 miles so far though I was really nervous driving it at first! I have also taken it to some shows and have just really been enjoying it beyond even my original expectations. I did go to the Gilmore and the Model A day but wasn't up to driving it there from Detroit quite yet. Anyways, I look forward to participating in the community. Here is a picture of my A from the Old Car Festival at Greenfield Village from a few weeks ago. The Henry Ford posted it on their facebook page and is better than any picture I can take!

Kevin, like I already said, WELCOME to the VFF!!

I would also say that you have a beautiful car, and I'm jealous since mine will never look like that. But that is the price of finding a survivor.
You wana look waaay far up da road and plan yer route because the brakes are far more of a suggestion than a command!
