I just put a square piece of flat stock underneath where i bolted the belt through the support. If you get hit in an A your probably screwed either way, it's a glorified motorcycle3~ Tudor's & 1~ Coupe

I followed Bill Lee's set up a few years ago and he really posted great pictures and described the whole process in very good detail as well as listing the materials needed. I will try to post his instructions but if I'm not able you could contact him at [email protected] I'm afraid the file exceeds the attachment limits so you will need to contact Bill directly.
Many thanx to Bill for taking the time to document it all and the retractors are really a nice featrure. Good luck, it's worth the effort.

by CorleyBeen looking at old posts on installing seat belts, and just can't make up my mind. Wondering what this particular crowd has to say on the subject, as this crowd is probably less emotional and more practical than some other crowds. But I should state at the outset, I believe in seat belts, and always use them in my more modern vehicles. I'm definitely NOT interested in shoulder belts or a harness...

by dmaxwebFirst off, sorry for another seat belt thread. I've searched and searched for a clear illustration on the inboard belts.
The inboard belts are bolted to the reinforced cross sill behind the tool pan - so far so good. How are the belts routed through/around the wood seat frame and/or the curved sheet metal at the back of the seat?
Thanks

by Bill GSomeone point me in the right direction if I am seemingly dumb.
I have searched this forum and several other places looking for one specific reasonable answer. Specifically a decent anchor point for the center seat belt straps for the rear seat of a Tudor. Other than the very thin/flimsy metal floor pan of the Tudor, there is only a fairly narrow frame channel along the back edge....-

by CurlyWhen I was younger I was an automobile accident investigator. Seeing with my own eyes the way the human body reacts to the sudden stop or the ejection was nothing short of shocking. When the automobile hits another object the front end drops violently, this throws the occupants forward and up instantly. The metal frame over the windshield kills most front seat occupants when their face hits it and...

by Tom RodeI am searching for information on installing lap belts in the rumble seat of my A. I see many threads and articles about belts for the front seat which I am planning for my next project, but see no info on lap belts for rumble seat, where everyone want to ride. Anyone done this. Also looking for method for padding the area behind the front seat for those rear passengers.
Thanks...-

by KenBI’d like to install lap belts in my ‘30 pickup. I’m not understanding how to do so to option a 70 degree angle. I’m also thinking additional steel may be needed. Any direction on successful seat belt installation will be appreciated! Would retractable be indicated?...

by cpf240While looking at my floor pan rust issues, I noticed some things about the seat base and riser that I'd like to ask about.
There are metal tabs on the inside front edge of the seat base, and what I'm calling clips on the front edge of the seat riser. I have not been able to find mention of these, nor a part number for the clips on the seat riser to help in determining their purpose....You do not have permission to view this gallery.
