Got my card today from Nathan. I will be there and see if I can get some of the Missouri Valley Region guys there as well.
On the schedule for the 16th of September is our Missouri Valley Region Model A Day at Juniors ( Millies Diner) at Marine, Illinois.
there will be several groups leaving the St. Louis area or folks can meet us there. Anytime after 11 I believe. Hopefully some of the Central Illinois folks can make it down to Marine that day/
Both will be a good time!

After I left the Studebaker National Meet in South Bend on May 6th, I needed to kill a day before meeting a couple of old Army buddies in Iowa. So when I stopped at the roadside rest in Iowa on May 7th, I asked the lady "what can I do or see to kill a day". I recently got a call about an "A" in the inner St. Louis city about an "A" that had been sitting for many years. Ironically I was on the way home from looking at a possible start up car for the Branson 2018 meet when I got the call. The caveat was that is was almost free ($1) but we had to get it out quickly as the land had been sold and the car was possibly slated to the scrap...You do not have permission to view this gallery.

One of the "other" activities or events we're going to do at the Branson meet is what our own Missouri Valley Region does every June. For the last 25 years and first started by my Model A Mentor and since past friend Terry Oberer is to take a car that typically hasn't run in 25-50+ years and within a short time 30- minutes - 2 hours typically) get it going. Located at Sharon Wisconsin, central south Wisconsin, just a few miles north of the WI/Il state line. Been there a couple of times - both were good times, lots to look at, people friendly to talk with.
Just a social meet, no judging, all A's except a limited few other cars from that period.

Getting closer-----------------plan on attending if you can it's a good time. Free. No admittance a Model A Ford 'Cruise-In'! Good food nice swap meet lots of Model A's and great folks! Always a 'surprise' appearance by a Model A era celebrity from politicians to military people to gangsters to ?? at the Town square.
