  • Hershey question

I'm heading up to Hershey Wednesday or Thursday to pick up some parts being brought in by sellers. I've never been there before and I assume tickets are required. Where do I buy them? Is there parking near?

No tickets are required just walk in. I usually park on the field adjacent to the cross bridge in the center. A quick walk across the highway and into the gate

I park where I drew the red line on the map. If you try and go through those interior roads through the fields it’s a cluster ****. Yes If the weather is good i’m going Wed. Otherwise Thurs.. I have to redecorate the MARC tent.. lol

This is our first trip. I have a vendor spot in the Chocolate field from a buddy. I am only going to peddle a few spare parts I don't need. I almost don't want to drive into the field as my thoughts are what you mentioned Mitch. I guess I need to get in there between 7 and 8. We are doing a hotel and don't want to be tied down in the vendor spot. Whats the recommendation?

Well I never sold there only one daily visit each year. Most people sleep in their field spots. I see two choices maybe 3. Drive into the spot, park in the field across the road or call an Uber. Maybe it won't be bad getting in there if you go before the public.

Yah I'm looking at Wednesday myself. The weather folks are now talking about rain on Thursday. I'm picking up a front spring from A-Springs and an indented firewall from another vendor. Maybe see you there. I'll check out the MARC tent.

The MARC tent is a good place to rest or eat lunch. They have large tables set up and the food vendors are right there. If you have a shackle bring it to make sure it goes right into the bronze bushing. Remember the trouble I had with yours

I'll do that. Where is the MARC tent going to be located?

Friday and Saturday look good, and are the best days for last minute bargains. The last time I was at Hershey, it was a light drizzle on Saturday, but I stayed until noon and made one last round in the chocolate field. A guy had replated original 1929 front and rear bumps for only $50 each. Foolishly I only bought the front and left the rears for the next bargain hunter.

I always arrived on Tuesday morning so I could hit the aisles running as they set up. Usually not many were set up, so I never got much on Tuesdays, but every bit helps.

Everyone just watch the weather. They're calling for 100% chance of rain on Thursday and with the remnants of hurricane Michael passing off the east coast on Friday I'd expect the forecast for Friday to change.

I used to know the best spots, but I haven't been there for about 12 years, so everything is moved around now. They were scattered though with a few good spots in each of the fields.

We will be there Thursday Friday Saturday
I don't mind the rain, as long as we lose this damn heat
