That is terrible news. I last heard from Mike in June when we talked via email. We had some phone conversations before that. From the sounds of it, he had talked to several people, which is great. When I last heard from him, he had been in the hospital in ICU and was not doing well at all, but he was in pretty good spirits. This comes as a shock. He had some great stories, and was a fine individual. My condolences to Lorraine.

That is shocking news! I was thinking about Mike the other day. He hadn't posted in months. I felt that he probably sold his A and moved on to other projects. I always enjoyed his posts here and elsewhere. We talked on the phone this spring. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. RIP, Mike.

He made about 6 posts here then stopped after he sold his A. That is about the same time that his health declined.

Mitch, I was happy when I saw Mike join VFF and told him he would really enjoy our group. He'd been pretty upset by some snarky comments at the other place. BILL's post was a shocker. Last Christmas my darling wife commented, you know your getting old when the Christmas card list has more names that have moved on then are still kicking.

Like Slammin, I too, was happy when Mike joined our VFF family.
I was encouraging him for a couple of months to join.
I would only return to the ***** **** to check on him.
I will miss him, and his stories of youthful adventures.
