Good evening guys. I have been over on the Model A side for a while, and just started snooping over here. I love all ( or most ) old Fords so I should introduce myself over here. I do recognize several names. Here I’d a picture of my Bird. Jim. 522220C8-6572-496E-8D55-76AE958824F9.jpeg

I am a pretty low key sort of a guy. Here is what I drug home this week. Remember, he who dies with the most toys, wins. Lol. Jim. 50B337D0-F7B2-435E-ACCB-35E50B8A6C9A.jpeg

Very nice Jim How's it handle in the snow?
          Congrats on the new toy.
Do you attend any of the cruise nights in your area? (Pre-isolation of course)
As you know, EVERYTHING is cancelled here.
What is your closest cruise night?

Nice bird, is that a 1960? What’s under the hood?
best thunderbird fact, imo, 1958 out sold the 55,56 and 57 combined.

I did not do the 60 bird. It was supposedly an Arizona car, and actually looks pretty good underneath. I can only find one spot where the floor has had a repair under the passengers feet. I assume that was from leaking weatherstripping. Most issues I have had are more heat related such as the wiper motor, radio etc. It has the 352 under the hood and all evidence indicates that all mechanical has been done. It just needs some time to fine tune the small details. I think the PO ran out of steam as he was getting to the end.

I just got the 06 stand. It actually came from the estate of the same owner as the bird. It is the six cylinder rally version and is not supposed to have been winter driven. It looks fairly good other than a few chips on the paint and a spot where someone had keyed the door. It will just be a summer driver to help save the mileage on my truck. There is no way that I can ever replace it. And JD there are no snow tires, but I do have a set of tire chains that I could put on it in a pinch.

As for cruise nights, there is one every night of the week with in driving distances in all the small towns around here. A very active car scene. Thanks . Jim.

Hi I am pastor James and have been remodeling cars for a while. I am almost finished with an 80 Triumph Spitfire, just started a 55 Chevy 4dr 210. I have a 57 Nash Ambassador waiting in line and was blessed with a 55 Ford 4dr Custom line 3 weeks ago. Looking forward to learning more about classic Fords.

The Ford has 272 if my research is correct and a PO has not replaced it but it looks to be the real deal. Away from home but when I get back will post some pics of the projects.

Yes it an ambassador, very good eyes most folks don't even know what a Nash is. It is not in real bad shape. Floor pan is rusted out.
