    The engine number was also the serial number of the car. Engines were numbered when they were completed, and for the most part went into a chassis within a day or so. However, some engines were assembled and numbered at branch assembly plants. Highland Park would ship a block of engine-number records to an assembly plant and these engines might be made weeks or months...

    This is my first post. My wife and I are the proud owners of a beautiful '31 A Deluxe. We have named her Sarah - an acronym for the women in my life: Susan (wife), April and Robin (our daughters) and Ainsley and Hannah (our two granddaughters.) Sarah rides and runs great and we plan to drive her almost daily as weather permits.

    My roadster has a 3.78 rear end, 6.0 head and a F150 4 speed trans.

    I have taken the RPMS with my Westech tach, a dwell meter and a digital timing light, and i am not sure about accuracy.
