Hello Da Wizard, Yes it has spark. Using Optima Battery and Auto Lite 216 . Tested and both have spark. It Fires up and I have to hold down the gas peddle and after I take foot off pedal it would idle high. Now a friend loosened linkage and messed with idle and now it will not even stay at high idle it just dies. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

by dronen5my project 47 ford pickup starts fine and I’ll drive it into town and shut it off and it won’t start unless I wait 10 minutes as it cools off and then it starts and when I get home it does it again. What could my problem be?

by gmcoleHowdy! I recently acquired a 1950 Ford F1 pickup. It was running when my dad drove it into the barn and left it several years ago. I am doing my best to get it back into running shape but having a few problems. Wondering if anyone is local to the Dallas area (Garland in particular) and could recommend someone experienced with the old trucks. Found one guy who said "sure, just leave me the...

by ClaudeCI have a set of vintage 1933/34 v8 spark plugs. I want to clean them and test them. The new plugs just do not have the same appearance. Strange but there are some really nice model A reproduction plugs that look great and work perfect but these are not for a v8, but only for a model A and Model B 4 cylinder ford engines. What is the best way to clean up these old plugs and test them?

by Afordman31Have a 1940 Ford Sedan with a 1937 Ford flathead V-8 installed. A year ago I ground the valves, installed rings, new fuel pump. I get it started...seems to run fine. Have driven it around the yard, let it idle, etc., It runs good up to around thirty minutes then dies. I have tried it with the gas cap off and get the same results. I have different coils and different distributor that I changed out...

by amccarlI have a 1931 roadster which, for the most part, starts and runs great. However, after a bit of driving when it has warmed up, it begins to "chuff" (fire, fart, huff - not sure of the correct technical term) each time I shift. It isn't horrible or loud (not a backfire), but it seems like something that is likely slightly out of adjustment or that I'm not doing right with the choke or something....
