    1931 Briggs Town Sedan
    by Charlie McKeown
1931 Briggs Town sedan, ground up restoration in mid 80's, just over 2300 miles on this restoration. Engine has original police hi compression head, harden seats, adj. value lifters and custom grind on cam. Bored .060 over, great running original motor. Heavy duty core in original tanks and straps, 12-volt electrical. Original trico vacuum wiper. Dual side mount spares, stainless steel stone gaurd,...

    Nova clutch disk
    by 1crosscut
I have the engine and transmission out of my AA truck for some maintenance and the installation of a Warford overdrive. I have a Nova clutch disk that I could use as a replacement however it is 5/16" smaller across the face of it than the clutch disk that came out of the truck. Would using the Nova being smaller be problematic?

    Fitting the 2 tooth sector
    by rheacox
In the tech thread on the 2 tooth box there is an article about grinding the teeth of the new sector to get better contact with the worm. I have my box assembled and adjusted about the best I can get it. Went through all of the adjustments in order including centralizing the sector. At center it is very tight, but I can still turn the shaft by hand. 1/2 turn either way I have maybe 1/16" of play...

Another year older

Today our Model A kid turns 18. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful kid. This guy is a straight A student, an amazing singer, & loves God. We are so proud of the person he has grown up to be. Makes me proud that I can say I’m his dad.

Found pics of what I started with

Found pictures of the "pile of parts" I picked up and have been slowly piecing together. They were all lost on my broken phone, but thankfully Facebook messenger still had them. So without further ado, here was the day I picked them up....

Tool to Unplug Grease Fittings

Here's a tool to unplug grease fittings with old dried grease in them.
I used to see similar tools in the stores, but haven't seen any recently.

1950 custom deluxe convertible

I've seen at least (2) versions of the gravel guard behind the front wheels. One with numerous straight horizontal lines, and one with (3) lines with 3 pointed stars following each one. Are they both original Ford parts and what models get what?

What is a Good Lubricant for Plastic?

The louvers in the Buick dash were quite stiff, so I bought a can of silicone spray to free them up. BIG MISTAKE, as it made them much worse and discolored them. Then I saw at the bottom of the fine print that it was NOT to be used on plastic. I went to the junk yard and found some good vents, but would still like to find a good lubricant for plastic parts....
