When I bought my 1931 deluxe roadster it had Snap-on cloth arm rests on the top of each door (see picture). Somehow the passenger side has gone missing. I've checked on some Model A parts website and have not been able to find one. If anyone has an idea where I can buy one (or a new set) please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I read in a 2010 restorer article regarding babbitting ,which was said to be researched through Ford archives. The rear main in the block had an open parting line on the side towards the front of engine, while the cap had the normal both ends of the parting line closed. Anyone agree this is how the rear bearing should be done, or——- disagree?

by Cape CodderToday I helped a friend change out his water pump. While under the hood doing this change over I noticed the Oil Dip Stick to be an early "Baynet" type that I think was on the early '28's. The car is a '31 and I was wondering if this stick has the marks for low or full in a different place than the later cars, or are they all the same....

my wife has a bad cold
She has been coughing all night for a couple days. Yesterday she told me to go the drug store to get something for it.
I got earplugs. Last night was a lot better.

ORIGINAL FORD MODEL ‘A’ INSTRUCTION BOOKS, $35 each
I have several 1928 books that I had previously priced at $50 each and am reducing the price to $35 each.
The mid-1928 book, April through November 1928, shows the squeeze grip emergency brake handle in front of the gear shift lever and shows the multi-disc clutch.
The next version, October 1928 through January 1929, shows the same brake handle and the single disc clutch.

FYI for those considering a new set of tires. Perhaps you have all received this as well, but this morning I received an email from Coker Tire offering free shipping through October 1st.
Camshaft does not rotate
I could use some help. The replacement engine I am working on to replace the blown engine, has a new issue. The camshaft will not rotate.
I have disassembled the engine to the point that I have removed #1 piston. I can not remove #2 piston and the connecting rod in contacting the camshaft. The crankshaft needs to be rotated slightly to provide clearance.
So, I decided to remove all...

New “Ticking noise”
My 1931 Black Tudor woke up Sunday morning with a horrendous tick, just as I was going take my loving bride 👰♀️ (Sharon) out for breakfast. I mean; it was loud, but not a bottom end knock.
I quickly decided to take the Spitfire, so, as to not interfere with our plans.
This really loud tick, is more noticeable at lower rpm’s.
